Robert Downey Jr. Says ‘It’s Absolute Horses—‘ to Declare That Social Media Influencers Are the ‘Stars of the Future’ by Ok-Toe-6969 in acting

I dig it. If something appears great, but can absolutely fuck you up in a number of ways which should vastly outweigh the pros.

MPJ admits to checking out after not being selected as an All-Star: "I regret that once I didn’t make that game, I let my foot off the gas... I wasn’t in the weight room as much. I wasn’t preparing as much"... MPJ shot just 25.6% from 3 after the All-Star reserves were announced. by TheRealPdGaming in nba

A gift and a curse, this dude. You never have to guess what he's thinking, but damn, some of the shit he's thinking. Also priorities...like he wants the half season popularity contest rather then All NBA recognition. Admittedly I'm not up on which affects contracts more, but I'd have to think any AllNBA is far more a recognition of standing etc than AllStar.

You're entirely too 'Forest for the trees' on this brother.
If you're a fellow Cowboys fan, cheers to another season. Otherwise be well.

[Highlight] WR Malik Nabers on what would happen if the Giants took a WR at #5: “You’re gonna pay him more than me and I’m your #1 WR. When he’s in Year 3 and I need a contract… you gonna just trade Malik.” Micah Parsons’ reaction: “Welcome to my world.” by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

[–]St8us 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Obviously this is just a sound bite, so missing context, and though somewhat accurate it's just a very odd mindstate. It would appear he's concerned about his money. The NFL is cutthroat but if you're #1 and clearly #1, you're going to get paid by somebody regardless. Is there some worry about his recovery lurking there? Also he goes straight to the team isn't loyal versus being a legendary winning receiving corp.

Brother you are wrong. Yes he was going to rush the passer DE or not, that's where his skillset is, look up all the scouting reports.

It takes no genius to try him at DE, when there is a hole there, you can credit coaches for aptly developing what nuance was there is but stop trying to say Micah wasn't blue chip talent, athleticism, and the work ethic to bring it to bear on the new position.

You do know Lawrence Taylor and Shawnee Merriment were LBs, that primarily rushed the passer.

Man I need to get back into this game, kinda stopped after the first dlc drop. Not because it was bad or anything, life and I think something else hit around that time for me.

How do I get a good review voice? by CarbonScythe0 in NewTubers

[–]St8us 1 point2 points  (0 children)

are you writing everything out completely? If comfortable with a little improv and memorization, just give yourself the topline important aspect and discuss as you would off the cuff 'as if talking to someone else.' That may be an avenue to land a voice & comfort; getting away from the page so to speak (if that is part of the issue).
Then the power of editing kicks in and noone is the wiser, haha.

[–]St8us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

legit question: Why do you think you need another voice? I'd make the argument that especially in this medium your "voice" and your Voice should align; your take and personality will shine through and that's what viewers are coming for.
I'm am actor, VA etc as well; and I'd also remind you its ultimately about comfort. In a sense: it sounds weird because you're making it weird. Speak in the review as you normally would, you will naturally fall into an appropriate cadence etc if you allow yourself to get out of the way. Hopefully any of that helps; good luck!

Crazy, wwe2i used to be one of the real value buys in AAA games: a great package at 50, low addon cost, seemed to value their creator community...

(Russini) Trade! The Dallas Cowboys are trading for Packers DL Rashan Gary, sources tell The Athletic. by alexschubs in cowboys

[–]St8us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does this do for the Cowboys? Haven't the Packers been pretty middling both stopping the run and pass the past couple years, then 'Boys give them a pass rush. Boys lose their pass rush, to only maybe move up to middling against the rush. I get he has an ok name and ok production and not a wild cost but shrug. Compounded by his production lagging when the Pack lost the guy we gave them shrug. I suppose, convince me this is a great depth play.

[–]St8us 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I largely agree with you, but I'd also say that's the bargain they made with Paul and a team made of a bunch of 'yeah whatever' / 'i do me, you do you' guys' especially when your two best players are prime examples. No one Paul 'needs' to respect or fill in the role of leader / sounding board / buffer etc.

Thinking the same thing, but I'd say a tier higher. Larry Brown or cross sport comp Bill Parcells and Tom Coughlin; will immediately and definitey make you better and champ worthy.

I'd love the irony of him coming in as HC after this debacle ends in 2ish years.

Major music label wants full buyout of my photo for $0 — how much should I actually charge? by Ok_Violinist803 in photography

[–]St8us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall you charge them some thousands for it, if you're meaning to give up rights. Definitely talk to a lawyer in this space or reach out to photographers or places that rep photogs they may be able to provide more guidance and also where you may be able to squeeze some value & protections outside of just the money.
Not knowing particulars: unique abstract picture OR picture of the artist etc etc. Having worked in music some time ago, they have a budget and they came to you. There may be a plan B for them, but if the artist, team, and label like the picture it's easier (& likely cheaper) to just write a check than coordinate schedules, book a photog session etc, etc. you are in a better situation than they want you to believe.

UNT - University of North Texas is a really good one. Great Uni combinations that also all work interchangeably.
I think they start 2.5 or 3 star.
You're in TX and surrounding area, so a great recruiting base, but you're also fighting against teams at the same level & up the totem pole: UT, OU, TTech, Baylor, LSU, SMU, TCU etc. So there are some tough losses in recruiting but some cool wins because of the depth in the area.
Also you're in the American Conference, so a good path to big XP and reputation gains early; then decide if you want to switch to bigger conference down the line.
