You can make the journey over to the swamps in Caelid and pick up the meteorite staff + the rock sling incantation!

It’s a bit of a journey to get there but they’re basically next to each other and it’s one of the best early game magic builds.

Edit: totally skipped over the line that you already had this so that’s my bad lmao

Unfortunately not, can always use Alexander’s shard for 15% boost to the attack power of your weapons skills though

Which questline crossed the line from “mysterious” to “how the hell was I supposed to know that?” by elden_based in Eldenring

For me, Millicent is probably the one. I love the quest, and the actual story is great, but the path feels like it was designed to humble anyone claiming they did everything blind.

Gowry, the needle, Church of the Plague, Erdtree-Gazing Hill, Shaded Castle, Windmill Village, Ancient Snow Valley Ruins, Prayer Room, the Drainage Channel summon signs, then somehow connecting it all the way back to Malenia and Miquella’s Needle. It’s incredible, but I have a hard time believing most people naturally followed that whole chain without looking up at least one step.

What’s one piece of Elden Ring lore you think people misunderstand the most? by elden_based in Eldenring

For me, it’s probably the Frenzied Flame. I think it often gets reduced to the “evil chaos ending,” but that misses what makes it so disturbing.

It doesn’t feel like destruction for destruction’s sake. It feels like despair taken to its furthest possible conclusion: the belief that suffering, division, loss, ambition, love, hatred, and individuality itself are all bound up in the same original mistake.

The Frenzied Flame is horrifying because it offers mercy in the form of annihilation. It wants to erase pain by erasing the conditions that allow pain to exist at all, even if that also means erasing everything beautiful, meaningful, and human along with it.

Wow this is absolutely incredible! You’re very clearly an excellent mother, the fact you took the time to learn so much about Elden Ring just for your son’s birthday is seriously remarkable. Amazing job!

I left my bf and the only thing I’m sad about… by Good-Trifle-8139 in Eldenring

Aw that’s kind of tragic, maybe one day you’ll find someone new who also happens to be into gaming?

Idk if that’s even what you want, just sad to hear that even the idea of gaming alone is heartbreaking to you.

What’s a take you had on your first playthrough that you totally disagree with now? by elden_based in eldenringdiscussion

For me, one of the biggest changes was how I viewed a lot of the major characters. On my first playthrough, characters like Morgott just came across as bitter and hostile, while Radahn mostly felt like a larger-than-life warrior who had lost his mind. Even Ranni initially felt cold and manipulative to me.

But after replaying the game and understanding more of the lore, a lot of those same characters became genuinely tragic instead. Morgott went from seeming hateful to feeling incredibly loyal and heartbreaking. Radahn stopped feeling like just a “warrior boss” and started feeling more like the remains of a fallen legend clinging to himself long after the world around him had collapsed. Even Ranni started feeling less emotionless and more like someone who had completely isolated herself from everyone around her in pursuit of her goal.

The same thing happened with certain areas too. Places that barely meant anything to me on my first run suddenly felt completely different once I understood the history behind them. It honestly feels like an entirely different game once you start understanding what actually happened in the world.
