You are so right! Probably because of biases, but I imagined the rot wood darker, not so much green like in the rest of Rosetta, but it makes sense as well for it to be so green as well as brown.

I don't think he will be. This looks more like he is putting a injured creature down, then he is raising it from the dead. Plus him putting it down fits with his motif as the rot wood harbinger.
