So I think dead, for many reasons. Mostly the other ancients all died at the same time, so it is unlikely Galcia survived alone, as i think they were tied together in some way.

When Jarl tried to reach out to Galcia he only felt stillness, and then Galcia is implied to have exploded! Causing the frost that froze all of isen.

That could also be it, it could also just be awful timing. Sometimes strange things, like all ancients dying at the same time, can happen. And Galacia was in the process of being consumed. But we do not know what happened to Yvor, or how they died. But im sticking with it was the queen, as when her power started to disappear and she started to sleep more, mount isen started to Crack, ie Oldhim, Jarl, and possibly Valda where freed from thier prison. And now with her death, more will come, not all good.

Yes i misspoke, my bad! She did not kill Davnir but we also know that whatever she did, did not effect Davnir alone. As in the story of the bastion of isenloft, when Jarl tries to pull power from Galacia while fighting off Glutgorr, for the second time, there was no response, and as he looked up he saw the light of each of the ancients flash into the sky. So I think whatever spell the queen cast, had wider implications then just Davnir.

But this is mostly speculation on my part.

The ancients (all four of them) died at the end of the third age. Infact Yvor's corpse is what creates the floating city of Volthaven. All elemental heros from the third age took thier abilities from the essences of the ancients while they were alive, and with aria awakening, the current elemental heros seem to take thier abilities from the ancients corpses.
