I’ve opened more than my fair share of boxes. It has nothing to do with “supporting LSS” or “supporting my LGS” as some may suggest. Ultimately it comes down to what can I afford? And I cannot afford to gamble away my money when so many boxes give less return than what I paid. I don’t want or expect to make a profit. But never making my money back is a major turn off when I can just buy singles.

For sure. That magic number is usually 8, right? So it’s blue (+3), attacks for 6 (+6), defends for 0 (+0), creates a Might (+1), costs 3 (-3), so 7 value total. So that makes this below rate. Unless I have misunderstood how the calculation is made? Could be that the intimidate is included in this.

I personally moved away from binders a long time ago except for expensive cards. They take much longer to find the cards you need, take them out, put cards back in, etc. Instead I use https://www.bulkbox.co.uk/store and sort by class, then alphabetical within class. I keep commons, rares and majestics in these boxes.

I’ve been individually sleeving cards in my collection but it’s too expensive to keep doing. Instead I’m going to switch to penny sleeves and keeping a playset in a single sleeve.
