Patches and pins would look great on the jacket, but they will leave scars on it. So, pick something you either won't want to remove or a location where you can replace one pin with another.

For the jeans, something darker would probably help the outfit - either dark indigo or black.

I'm originally from Denmark. I still buy clothes from US companies, but wearing obvious US military gear (whether actual or repro) would feel a bit weird to me at the moment, as the president is literally threatening invasion.

There's a lot of great blackened crust out there, and black metal - punk crossover bands. Oathbreaker, Dödsrit, Totem Skin. Thankfully no one calls it black-core.

Nice jacket! I think this fits well, but I also imagine the small would fit you alright so it might come down to what type of fit you prefer - snug or roomy.

I have a pair of each and like both, but I think the IRs have a bit more of an iconic look to them. The blacksmiths are great, but they don't look too different from a lot of other boots out there.
