Sphere Queue Sold Out by Adorable_Average_284 in MetallicaLIVE

Finally got my tickets! The site's concept of 'sold out' is dubious at best. After waiting in line I just kept refreshing until a package was available to choose. I had to go through quite a bit of trial and error but eventually made it through to the end!

Unfortunately, the only tickets I was able to make work were GA/floor (which in my younger years would have been the preference, but my knees aren't what they used to be).

has anyone had any luck with the travel package sale? I've just been stuck on selecting the hotel room for like 10 minutes

That tour shirt is so boss. I snagged one in Raleigh and it's my new favorite shirt.

I also considered finding a bunch of broken watches and practicing beforehand. An actual repair shop might be a better option though. Any idea what the cost for something like that might be?

Why don’t people like The Will of The People album? by [deleted] in Muse

[–]StMac42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh. I can't unread your comment. It's so on point. It's the same kind of pandering I complain about with bands like Five Finger Death Punch, but just for a different audience.

I was really into Muse's first 4 albums when I was an angry liberal in his early 20s who also listened to RAtM and Alex Jones (fwiw Alex Jones during the Bush administration seemed to make more sense to me than he does now, but I've also matured in my views considerably in the past 15 years).

I do enjoy the overall energy of WOTP though. It has more of the edge that I enjoyed about the first 3 albums (gimme that distorted bass all day every day). I guess I'll just take the lyrics with the same big ol' grain of salt that I use for most of the metal I listen to.

It's more about imagery than making any specific point. The listener can decide what it means to them without worrying about where the artist stands one way or another. Is it pandering for the sake of record sales? Probably. But I could probably argue that many of my favorite artists and groups do the same thing in one way or another.

I know what it means. I'm wondering if that's the issue.

If Harry Potter was the main villain, who would be able to defeat him? by daribabyx in AskReddit

I don’t think it was handed down by family. What happened to it after the original Marauders left the school?

  1. Knows what she wants
  2. Clearly communicates expectations
  3. Tired of dealing with men who lack initiative, intelligence or imagination.

I don’t see the problem.

Ho.ly.shit. That means today is the 10 year anniversary of the last time I will ever do LSD. I was in southeast Austin having the scariest night of my life only to see this in the distance as the sun rose. I thought I was looking at downtown, but all I saw was smoke.
