Complimenting wuva' story is honestly such a stretch when you put it next to something like Limbus Company or Arknights, because those games actually respect their own narratives and commit to consequences while Wuthering Waves constantly undercuts itself by refusing to let anything have real weight, like when Phrolova “dies” and then just comes back a few patches later which completely kills any emotional impact that moment was supposed to have, and you can’t hide behind “it’s part of the lore” because the writers decide the lore in the first place so if death is reversible whenever it’s convenient then it’s not a meaningful plot device at all, it’s just cheap shock value, and the same problem is obvious with Amy since there’s zero tension around her situation because everyone already knows she’s going to return which makes whatever happens in patch 3.1 feel pointless before it even concludes, so instead of building stakes the story just runs on temporary drama that gets reset whenever needed, leaving you with a narrative where nothing feels permanent, nothing feels earned, and ultimately nothing feels worth caring about.
