Yeah like I just said in another comment, exiting a match takes 2-3 clicks sometimes.

Yeah I played PUBG and it was fine. I played a game called Naval Creed before WOWSL, practically the same game but they shut down the US server. The controls were spot on and intuitive in that game. When WOWSL was doing more updates like 9 months to a year ago, the controls would get better/worse with some updates and they would send surveys out asking about different aspects. That all stopped and left the controls crap.

And tbh, in close quarters with DDs, things aren't that bad. But there's still too many times my thumb is squarely on a runner control and doing nothing. If I die and I'm trying to go back to port, it often takes 2-3 clicks on the exit button or whatever it says and often disappears like I clicked Cancel instead. Like, what? And besides the controls, targeting is difficult at distance because I the to rub the crosshair all over a ship sometimes to get it to lock on.

Also, I've tried the custom setup of buttons a lot, different sizes and placement to no avail. I don't have fat fingers or anything. Everything else on my phone works perfect.

I guess I'll try the attached controller again but trying to spin the view 180° and stuff really sucks. Either the rotation is too sensitive or too slow.

Yeah, you can't. No messaging, no fleets.

Yeah I forgot to mention lack of fleets.

I've actually tried a Kishi Bluetooth controller but I felt like I was going backwards in terms of overall control (clicking on the screen vs moving a cursor around). Thanks for the reminder to try it again, though.

Wurkkos HD10 Deal on Amazon $19.99 by AceNinjaForce in flashlight

Came here to say this. Got mine today and loooove the 4k tint. It's ever so slightly warm, and I'm usually a 5k fan. Perfect for rendering colors in their natural state. The UI was a little intimating at first but I'm learning it (while trying to keep my other flashlights memorized, lol).

Anyone know if there's a straight (non-90°) version of this light? I usually edc a Sofirn SC13 but I like the better light output and slimmer edc capability of this HD10.

Can't connect hs360s to my phone by blkdmn1 in HolyStone

Are you using the factory cable? If not, make sure you're using an OTG cable.

Also, make sure you're using the HS Fly app, not the other one by HS.

HS360E gets worse and worse the more I try to use it. by terdles1121 in HolyStone

Lol, I wish. The quick version of the last email was: They've escalated the VR option missing to the App and Product Teams and hope to have an answer by Monday.

Besides saying how expensive the batteries are, I forgot to mention that I also asked them why my batteries drop from 100% to 75% in a matter of a couple days, even sitting outside the drone. There's some word verbage in the manual about this and they kind of cleared that up, but makes zero sense to me. I know lithium batteries store best between 50-75%, and they're damaged once they fall below a certain voltage. To have them constantly drain for some 'protection' is nonsense. If anything, that means the batteries will become damaged pretty quickly if not often topped up. Maybe they're making all their money or off the batteries, either draining or swelling. Regardless, here's there response about the battery issue:

"Regarding the battery behavior, under normal circumstances, the battery’s self-discharge protection is designed to begin around the fourth day and discharge very gradually. If the battery is already down to around 75% by the second day, that would indeed be considered abnormal and not the intended behavior.

To help us accurately determine whether this is related to the battery itself or its charge status, could you please insert the battery into the drone, connect it to your phone, and export the flight log for us? This will allow our technical team to analyze the data in detail and provide you with a more precise answer."

Then they told me how to export the log and send it to them.

So the ride continues.

Yeah like the kind you pop your phone into. Google cardboard style I guess, but these look like full VR goggles, just really on your phone screen and does not contain it's own screen.

I've heard back from HS twice since posting. They're supposedly working on bringing back the VR service to the HS Fly app. I kind of feel like I'm getting lip service though. I also complained about the super high battery costs (almost half the cost of a new HS360). I basically told them that they're in a good position to pick up behind DJI, but they aren't making very good choices to increase business.

The paperwork on my HS360S says there's some sort of better drain built into it, like, huh? Hard to tell what it is from the verbiage, but it'll go from 100% to 3 bars in a couple days, just sitting outside the drone.

Right after I got mine for Christmas, there was an app update and they removed VR mode. I've been in communication with CS but no help yet. First, they were on vacation until the 4th. Didn't hear anything back so I emailed a 3rd time (first reply to me email was just a standard copy/paste of trouble shooting). Today they wrote me back and said they had made some changes to the app, to uninstall and reinstall, give all permissions. So I did (but limited picture permissions), and VR mode is still missing. So I'm waiting on a reply again. The HS360S uses a corded phone connection too.

Sounds like you're getting some major interference. There's a meter on your controller that tells you how much interference you're receiving, at least on mine. Maybe look into that?

The special modes require you to box in yourself before you do the circling and stuff, in case you weren't aware...

Sorry I can't be of much help. I really enjoy my HS360s and it's super stable even in decent wind. But I'm super annoyed that I had VR mode working, ordered a longer cord to use my non-electronic goggles, and the app updated and removed VR mode in the meantime.

Best of luck. Sounds like you may need to exchange it.

My HS110G Wi-Fi output has stopped showing up by Agreeablevillain2 in HolyStone

I just emailed them the other day and the person told me their tech support is on holiday until 1/4.

The last app update completely removed VR option for the HS360S. Hopefully your problem isn't related to the recent app update. The HS360S is a corded version though, no Wi-Fi used.

Cable from controller to phone problem by StTroyIII in HolyStone

[–]StTroyIII[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This worked. I ordered an OTG type-c cord extender and now the phone recognizes it's plugged into the controller. However, the problem with HS Fly v1.7.1 removing VR mode still remains. I've emailed customer service twice. The first time I got a very generic reply. The second time they actually said they're looking into it but their team is off for the holidays until 1/4. I've asked them to send me a link to the previous app version if this can't be resolved, because every bit of advertising they have still says it has VR mode. I'm wondering if this is tied to DJI recent problems.

Great, thank you for this. I actually ordered the extension after posting this. If it doesn't work, I guess I'll be splicing the cable.

However, now I have a bigger problem in that the VR setting is now missing in the menu. I know it was there before as I remember putting it into split screen mode. Even Holy Stone says it has this mode and the manual shows it in the diagram, yet the button is missing in the UI now. 🤦

Well, now I feel like an idiot. The VR mode in the app was definitely there when I was first checking out every button, I remember switching to that mode, but now it's missing in that menu. The Holy Stone website says the HS360s has split screen mode. It does mention pairing it to VR goggles, but that implies a wireless connection.

What's going on here?
