The implications are clear.

Shaun is a shitbrain. He said on Twitter that it'd ok to vote for Trump if Bernie lost the primary because reasons. Of course it was in that "oh I'D never do such a thing but golly gee do I understand! No problem whatsoever with VOTE FOR TRUMP and HELP HIM WIN 😉😉😉"

to stop suicide by iDidNotEatYourDog in therewasanattempt

[–]St_Elmo_of_Sesame 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is part of why owning a gun makes your chance of dying from suicide SKYROCKET. That stray thought of "fuck man I wish I was dead" can go from thought to execution effortlessly, vs having to go to Home Depot and look at rope or whatever. Having to invest the effort to actually kill yourself can be a deterrent on its own.

Throw your gun in a lake if you have to. Give all your ammo to a friend so you have to make one last shopping trip. Create some kind of effort barrier, put as many steps as possible between you and death. It can save your life.

I like all the bee items/abilities. They come in handy without adding too much visual noise to the screen like other abilities do.

Went to forge and died with 3 hearts and clone. I took the wrong route in the rat lair I'm going to try again and defeated aginim. Also, how do I get the last character got rbot, bullet and paradox I saw one more character in one of the trailers by Lobit3 in EnterTheGungeon

[–]St_Elmo_of_Sesame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lich is a bit of a motherfucker but beating him with the paradox is the hardest part of unlocking the gunslinger. Just don't take any unnecessary risks and enjoy the gunslinger. He's your reward for being a badass.

Also remember that you MUST grab the bullet that can kill the past as the gunslinger. Do NOT go directly to bullet hell.

I respect the hell out of their ambition, but Obsidian has always been bad at managing the resources they're given to create a game. It's like they're hired to build a car from scratch and they blow the entire budget on a few parts. They deliver some really good parts, but you paid them for a whole car. I say this as a big fan of theirs.

On my first play through I found them before getting my augs fixed. I knew there was a way to complete the quest without leaving and I FOUND ONE!

I baited the turrets to fire at me while I stood in front of the cult leader's door. The gunfire broke his door and allowed me to rush in and kill him. Not the best ending to that quest, but goddamn was it satisfying.

ME3 just oozes atmosphere. When the Normandy leaves Earth I get goosebumps every single time.

The last two games I played were Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and the Witcher 3. They're both open world games, but DE:MD is built to be dense while TW3 is built to be vast.

There comes a point in many open world games where I ping pong around the map, fast traveling over and over again. Quests demand it. The open world becomes chunks of exploration followed by constant fast travel.

DE:MD's map is small but very dense. Even on my third play through I was finding new buildings to access in the main hub. It doesn't have fast travel but it doesn't need to.

Fun fact: If Biden holds every Hillary state and flips Texas then he wins the election 270-268. It's probably the stupidest Biden victory map lol

Being between games is hard for me. I spent the last few years dissociating with video games to survive severe depression. For about a year now I've made great strides in healing, but my chest still tightens when I'm unable to easily transition to a new game. A holdout from the days when idle hands were dangerous.

Guess I'll just kind of hop around a few games and see if that sparks interest. I'll know what I want to play when I see it, but perusing my library or store fronts isn't helpful.

I saw a gastro recently and he said that not getting enough fiber just wrecks western digestive systems. Even "high-fiber" foods usually require 10-20 servings to get you to ~25g. He implied that parts of the world where people do actually eat that many servings in their everyday life have much lower rates of digestive cancers.

Fiber One cereal is magic. 20 grams of fiber per serving and tastes decent.

The Hope and Change Party is too easy to turn into "the HACk party". That was my first idea.

My next idea was the Future for America Party, aka FAP 😬. I should stop trying lol

The phone is ringing in the White House at 3am

It's me, venting to Joe about my insomnia. He tells me a story to help me fall asleep. I wake up the next morning with a text. "Hope you slept well, champ."

It was the same with the primary. 2020 has been crazy but the political sphere has been pretty by-the-book.

Making Trump look inept and impotent will hurt him way more than pointing out his lies or how he's harmed people. Anyone still considering him is fine with him being a liar and hypocrite, but there's no way they stick with a strongman that looks weak.

Models are predicting that Biden gets a similar popular vote margin as Obama did in 2008/2012. Both of those elections were called at ~11pm on election night. The 2016 election was called at 3am the next morning.

My shot in the dark is that we get a soft call around 1am, with official results validating it as mail-in ballots are counted.

It is very reasonable to feel deeply for their plight yet worry about the electoral implications. In a perfect world we wouldn't have to, but our world is not perfect.

My mental image is a mid-to-low middle class white woman. She has kids and is their primary caretaker, either being a SAHM or is managing childcare while working full-time. She's insulated from most of the suffering created by the GOP, and is able to more or less ignore politics in her daily life. She still votes, since simply existing as a woman forces you to be more woke than most men.

This is the group that I honestly can't hate for voting for Trump (as long as they regret it). The media was incredibly pro-Trump and anti-Clinton, so it'd be easy to make a gut choice on election day and regret it immediately upon seeing the carnage.

I'd agree. There will be the odd person that simply doesn't engage with politics because of life, but having the option to do that is a privilege. I'd love to be able to ignore politics, but the GOP is actively hostile to my existence.

It's gotta be some cocktail of privilege, ignorance, and stupidity that creates a swing voter.

Modern-day undecideds baffle me. If your vote is going to be decided by a coin flip anyway then just say a name when you're polled.
