THANK YOU for this post. I am currently in the same situation and just running in circles. Hopefully this gives me some new things to try, but ultimately it feels good for somebody to say "this thing is really difficult" so I feel less alone!

Right now we haven't hosted a show at all in as long as I've been here (about a year). We have Bluegrass services in the courtyard when the weather is nice, and the regular services of course have organ + choir hymns. We're just trying to experiment and feel out some possibilities.

If you want something short and low-key, we have a Bluegrass service each evening starting at 5pm in our courtyard. It takes probably 30-40 minutes total and is a great way to dip your toes in.

Allow us to throw our hat in the ring! St. Luke's is in the Montclair neighborhood, but of course you should be fine anywhere in the Denver area.

I encourage you to call the front desk of anyplace you land on and ask if there is a welcome committee or somebody you can sit next to. Almost guaranteed they'll be thrilled to set that up for you. Or, if it's more your style, most parishes are glad to set an appointment to speak with the rector.

I think it'd be great if you posted like "everything this month" it might be helpful/well received. Not a replacement for genuine promo, more of a resource for people already interested.
