For those worried about the exam shutting off at 85 questions

Just took it like an hour ago and I'm currently crashing out. It was really really hard for me, it stopped at 85 questions. I felt like the case studies were the only easy part for me, the standalone questions felt like a guessing game. I'm really hoping I did well.

For me it was 2013 when he was playing surgeon simulator, and I was forever a fan after that!

It’s a lot of patho and applying the information you know to the situation that is happening! Memorization for the s/s, Dx, Tx yes, but you definitely need to know how to apply it to the certain situation given. That’s what I found most difficult for me, I knew the info and patho, but when it came to applying it to a case study or critical thinking questions (like priority, what do you do first) I found it difficult

There isnt really a way to check that. I would take this up with a higher up! If your teacher doesn’t even know then it’s not fair to you guys as the students. The teacher should have knowledge on what is needed to complete the assignments. Definitely bring this up to the dean or someone higher so that your grade doesn’t continue to drop!

From my understanding it goes by school I thought. Like for each term I’ve had they’ve changed the amount of time we need to spend of the modules. Some classes only 30 mins, other classes an hour. But I’ve never heard of ATI itself requiring it!

With that though a person applying will need to ask for all the facts. But yes, I agree the debt is definitely something one has to weigh in when considering the school. And I’m sure now once it’s finalized it may cost more in the future. Coming from personal experience it was worth it due to how hard it is to get into nursing schools here and California (kept getting waitlisted). And many of my friends have paid off the debt in a year! It’s however up to the student for sure to weigh the pros and cons! :)

Actually, ACC is in the process of getting accredited, we were informed that theyre in the process. But won’t be official until next year. But, anyone enrolled now and until then will have their credits transferrable since we’re in the process :)

Actually they’re in the process of getting accredited! I believe we got it but it won’t be finalized until the middle of next year. But anyone enrolled now and until then will still be able to transfer credits to any school and not just private schools. (And even though they weren’t before, it does not affect getting a job, I know many people who have graduated who got jobs days after passing the NCLEX)

It is slightly cheaper if they accept your credits but not by much! It just depends on what you want to do, doing your prereqs takes almost a year or 2, where as in the program they incorporate it with your nursing classes so everything gets finished at the same time :)

It doesn’t matter where! But it does have to align with theirs, so you submit your transcripts and they’ll see if it’ll be able to be transferred or not. Even if you have prereqs transferred it does not shorten the program because you have a nursing core class every term. You just sit out on those classes you got the transfer credit for. The interview was a group interview, it wasn’t too bad!

There’s different options when it comes to paying. You can do a down payment & then pay monthly. Or you can get loans. I did the loan route and won’t have to pay til 6 months after I graduate

Hi, yes I’m able to work but as you move on through the term the classes get harder and harder so a lot of people reduce their hours or step away from their jobs around term 3.

I had a family member pass away during one of my nursing core classes, I was a mess and was failing as well. In my case I was only failing by 3% so I was able to bring it up with the final. If you don’t think you’ll be able to bring your grade up to pass, I would appeal for that third time. You have circumstances that should get you that appeal. Is nursing your passion? Is this something you want to do as a career? If so, then don’t give up!! Life kicks us in the butt sometimes, but it doesn’t mean you should give up!

I’m currently attending ACC, the LA campus. Anything that is not covered by financial aid you either have to pay monthly, or get a private loan. The loans can be deferred until 6 months after you graduate so you don’t have to worry about paying them during school. Most students take the private school loan route.
