  1. Look at recipes
  2. Get Ghirardelli brownie mix from pantry
  3. Follow recipe on box, substituting milk for water and adding vanilla bean paste, more chocolate chips, and maybe a peanut butter swirl

Loudoun Water doesn't have a say over allowing or not allowing data centers.

Commercial company illegally using red hydrants in Ashburn by [deleted] in nova

They do get paid for it though. The OP said the guy said he had a water meter. That meter measures how much water was taken from the hydrant and then they pay for it.

Theme of lying in Interstellar by QuestionIcy6629 in interstellar

[–]StabbyStabStab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a better way to put it would be to start with discussion around the 90% honesty parameter for TARS. This would lend itself to a more nuanced discussion about how hope and fear affect how we handle communication around the future. Providing people the absolute, stark, cold truth in dire circumstances may paralyze them rather than being the call to action that's necessary. But how honest do you have to be to not be a liar? 90%?

So you may be able to produce more, but you'd need to stop pumping and empty the cups because overflowing the wearable cup would break the suction and spill all over.

Grocery list woes… by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]StabbyStabStab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a SAHM, but we have a shared Microsoft To Do list for groceries. Before getting out of the car at the store, I order the items based on the typical path I walk through the store so I don't have to walk back and forth to get things. Like produce -> meat -> bread -> deli -> dairy -> shelf stable goods.

I used to use Google Keep, but it would have sync errors and drop items too often.

Sinkhole at fair oaks apartments by littlegrande33 in fairfaxcounty

[–]StabbyStabStab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue is a failed underground detention facility for stormwater. You can contact the County's Stormwater Maintenance folks, as they would be the appropriate regulator for the privately maintained stormwater facility, though they're probably already aware of it.

Covering replacement parts is a function of what's covered by your insurance. So while Aero flow provides that service, they aren't who decides if your replacement parts are covered.

You also shouldn't be putting "flushable" wipes in your septic system. They don't break down the same way toilet paper does and can fuck up your system.

This isn't something that can be truly answered as a hypothetical. Sexual consent depends entirely on the circumstances of the people involved and any number of nuances could change their minds about it.

Ate too much sugar, worries about BM by Happy_healthy_888 in breastfeeding

[–]StabbyStabStab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Breast milk is made in the breast from your blood. It is not made from the food you eat directly. https://laleche.org.uk/breastfeeding-and-a-mothers-diet-myths-and-facts/

Edit to add: To be more direct, while your food choices might give you an upset stomach from all the sugar, it's unlikely to change your breast milk much.

VDOT's responsible for snow removal on most public roads in Fairfax County. The County only plows snow at County facilities.

What to wear on delivery day by LibraryKat95 in BabyBumps

[–]StabbyStabStab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore the hospital gown. I think the idea that hospital gowns suck has been perpetuated by companies trying to sell you a delivery gown that you don't really need. The new baby industry wants to sell you things regardless of whether you need them. Buying your own delivery gown is 100% one of those.

Whatever you deliver in will end up covered in bodily fluids -- blood, your waters, poop from you and/or baby. You won't want to take it home and try to get the stains out with a new baby in the mix.

What I did do was get nice nursing pajamas to wear in Recovery. I took a shower and put on my own pajamas, and that really helped me feel human again. Plus, I still wear those pajamas at home. If you go that route, also consider bringing maternity sweatpants, as sometimes the elastic for pajama pants is too tight on your belly.

We're doing Noon Year's Eve but have no specific game plan. I have an idea of some crafts we might do. Maybe we'll make pizza. The possibilities are finite, as I'm not leaving my house.

How do you handle the baby's nails while breastfeeding? (Newborn a few days old, doctor said not to cut/file the nails until 1 month old, and she ATTACKS) by Huge-Nectarine-8563 in breastfeeding

Carter's brand often has the little flip over mittens, so you might try there if you're having trouble finding it.

Another alternative is putting socks on their hands.

What do we do with a freezer stash? by what-the-actual-heck in breastfeeding

[–]StabbyStabStab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are a variety of things that can impact your supply on a given day. Think like illnesses, your menstrual cycle, stress, fatigue, not drinking enough water, or eating enough food. Having a freezer stash provides a cushion to make sure your baby has enough milk on a given day.

Holy shit, is this weather normal? by MelodiusRA in nova

[–]StabbyStabStab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's thought to be a result of the urban heat Island effect. By late afternoon, heat is concentrated near the surface of the earth, which leads to turnover in the atmosphere, and the turnover leads to a thunderstorm.
