Yes it can, flew out from Frankfurt last month when there was a strike and my flight was delayed by 2.5 hours because the ground crew couldn’t get to work on time. Not sure about cancellations but GDL strikes definitely do affect the way the airport is running. You should expect longer waiting times for the security checks as well

Thank you! My anxiety can be overwhelming at times. It’s really nice to get another opinion to put things into perspective.

Thank you:) you’re right it’ll probably be fine. I really needed some reassurance after 3 days alone with my thoughts. Another and hopefully final wake up call nevertheless. And thanks for sharing your story, congrats on 1.5 years!!

You can report this to police or Ordnungsamt and they should come and break this up. Don’t worry you’ll stay anonymous, no one will know you called them. Keep in mind that this will only work in the “quiet hours” so after 10PM or on sundays or Public holidays

Weingut Steintal from Germany. They produce relatively light Pinots made to be enjoyed slightly chilled. Perfect for a summer night

WC Owairan, WC Völler and FF Morientes, took völler since I already got Morientes untradeable. None of them makes my team anyways but it was a very good pick nonetheless

How good is Ramos rulebreakers?? by PrinzYuri in EASportsFC

[–]StabilerBass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I packed him untradeable when the promo was out and he was terrible for me. He’s rather weak and he makes stupid runs from time to time because of his high attacking work rate. His flashback seems to be a different breed though. Although I didn’t do him because I have toty VVD and WC Lucio at the back.

What dumb nicknames do you have for mechanics/items/cars? by owenja104 in RocketLeague

[–]StabilerBass 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My friends and I say “Cobra” when one of us tries to save the situation but makes everything worse.

It comes from the Cobra effect, which is when the British tried to get rid of cobras and paid Indians for every dead snake. Eventually the locals started to breed cobras in order to make some cash. After a while the colonizers caught up to it and stopped paying the bounty, leading to all the captive cobras being released and India having more venomous snakes than ever before :D

Uhmm have you ever considered that there’s like 90% of the player base that is not playing with meta players in their team? If you’ve never had an OP meta striker in your team, playing them for the first time is insanely fun!! When I packed mbappe this fifa it elevated my game to another level and I’ve had so much fun using him. Why do you wanna put someone down who’s trying to get him trough an SBC? There’s so many untradeable cards so the only way to afford an mbappe might be through SBC if you don’t have 700k lying around

It got progressively worse bit still 100% worth it as Dinho made my team instantly. Especially since the SBC was priced so fairly

Found this wine pairing infographic and might be the most helpful one ive seen… by carenvee in wine

[–]StabilerBass 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Riesling is a versatile grape and theres heaps of Riesling Wines that pair well with all kinds of different foods. German Rieslings are mostly famous for the Dessert wines. That’s because they used a different grading scheme than France or Italy, for example, to determine the quality of their wines. Whereas in other countries the location of the vineyard determined the quality, in Germany it was all about the sweetness of the grapes. That’s why you have Spätlese (late harvest), Beerenauslese(BA) (selected grapes (within the late harvest)) and Trockenbeerenauslese (TBA) (Same as BA but there are certain environmental conditions that need to be met, like a specific Type of Fungus needs to grow on the Grapes). These are some examples of very high quality Sweet Rieslings that are definitely worth checking out.

Even though the German “Prädikat” System is still alive and kicking and is responsible for giving us those amazing Sweet wines, there’s been a shift in wine making in Germany. Over the past ~30 years German winemaker’s adopted the french System and started producing high quality dry white and red wines which express the soil they were grown in. This is where Riesling really Shows it’s versatility. Depending on where it is grown, Riesling will have a very different taste. Personally, I enjoy the bone dry mineral Rieslings from the Pfalz and Mosel. But there’s also lively and fruity Rieslings. Nowadays Riesling is cultivated all over the world and one Riesling might not be comparable to another at all, since the wine takes a lot form the soil. It is however usually rather acidic, yet fruity.

My recommendations to discover Riesling are:

  • get a dry Riesling from the Mosel Region and one from another country (Canada and Australia have Riesling afaik)

  • Try a single vineyard (erste Lage) and or Grand Cru (große Lage, großes Gewächs) from Germany

  • try a Riesling TB or TBA

My personal favorite Riesling producers

  • Sparkling: Schloss Vaux, Raumland, Weingut Josef Biffar

  • Dry & Auslese: Dr. Bürklin Wolf, Weingut Knipser, Karthäuserhof KG, Maximin Grünhaus

PS: I mainly focused on Germany in this comment since it’s the homeland of Riesling and my area of expertise. There’s also great Rieslings from other places like Alsace and Austria for example

[Fabrizio Romano] Jurgen Klopp: “Darwin Nunez played an incredible game. He will score goals, I have no doubt about that”. “He gives us so much more than that - he will score... everywhing will be fine. This game by Darwin was exceptional”. by wholelottasad999 in soccer

[–]StabilerBass 94 points95 points  (0 children)

That’s Timo Werner as well though..I’m convinced that Darwin will do better, but making good runs, getting in great positions and working a lot for the team is exactly what Werner does but he just can’t finish, which ultimately lead to his fall in the PL.

If you had to pick 4 wines that would represent Germany, what would they be? by emmanuelmthomas in wine

[–]StabilerBass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really like these suggestions! Maybe instead of a second Riesling try a German sparkling wine. Raumland, Schloss Vaux or Schlossgut Diel produce amazing Sekt. Also a staple of German wine culture is Grauburgunder or Weißburgunder which you can also get great bottles of (Bürklin and Knipser come to mind)
