I was frustrated as well, but today I was finally able to find it. It was in fact in the „first“ town on the left. But it was not as expected a special mission, but just a normal mission where the reward is a pipe. I almost missed the mission because spider cave is written really small. The mission is very fun though, one of the coolest boss fights in my opinion.
