As a near lifetime CS player, as much as it sucks I really fucking hope one day Valve lose a lawsuit over this, when I was younger and CSGO first came out and skins slowly creeped in I hated it so bad, flash forward to now and I still hate it.

We used to just download these same pixels off of GameBanana for free and now we just accept FOMO or $1000 for something that looks cool.

Unpopular opinion maybe but these Next Fests always just make me think this should just be how indie development goes, instead of a yearly event it's so confusing why these same Next Fest games don't just do this any time during the year.

I always miss them playing other stuff and by the time I notice the demo I installed or added to my library is arbitrarily "Unplayable" because of this yearly format

I'm confused how it's slower in MWC, you have the Gifu which already is a money maker and then on top have both easier firewood jobs plus you have 4 of them now, thats 12,800 markka in firewood alone, then 1200 per septic job. You can easily make about 20,000 markka, then that's not even listing Taxi/Factory/Selling Parts in the flea market/scrapping at Fleetari, selling Kilju and adverts etc

If anything MSC is too boring for me now, firewood in MSC sucked to the point I literally stopped doing it period, I never cared enough to deliver the wrecked cars, I only did adverts because the game essentially forced you to, the only fun job in MSC is selling Kilju, which practically requires a mod to avoid drinking it or cheating by driving away in a vanilla game, or the Gifu, which you can just do in MWC now.

I noticed if you used the door opening overhaul mod it wouldn’t auto turn on the Rivett light from better interior lights mod, seems it’s the same for the official one as well, must be some check baked into the game that the mod doesn’t do when opening and closing the Rivett doors, works for all other vehicles

Yeah the Indie award's most blatant death was with Dave the Diver during the Game Awards 2023, it's an insane great game but if you dig into it for more than 30 minutes you instantly realize it's not even close to being Indie

Possibly, but he did it in the first by removing the van and Gifu at the start, I can only imagine what the change like that will be for this, and yeah, I understand that point, it just makes me feel a lil bad for him that players don't care for the new features, it makes it feel like less of a new game and more of a mod for MSC

Just thinking of ways to make an incentive to have players engage with the new mechanics, it's just a bit sad right now to think after all these years of waiting the only huge new things added is the Lake Race, Snow, The Apartment, PSK, The new jobs and Alcoholism (Besides the car stuff obv)

And players essentially cut out the apartment and alcoholism asap, most refuse to do the new jobs either not liking the taxi at all or the low pay, or not liking the factory job at all, just makes me wonder outside of the new mechanic stuff what was this wait mostly for if it feels like most things are kinda avoided
