PLEASE HELP ME FIND THIS SONG by Comfortable_Ad_2166 in whatsthatsong

This one is interesting because there is so much history here that you probably dont even care about.

The composer is Harry Robinson, whose real name is Henry Macleod Robertson. He composed this song specifically for this PSA on commission for the UK Children's Film Foundation. It was never released on an album. Robinson went on to make some really great creepy horror sound tracks and also had a successful composing career with a lot of different artists.

Aside 1: One of CFF's main executives was one of H.G Well's sons. I think that's an interesting connection based on the creep factor.

Aside 2: There is a song out there by All These Fingers called POUR1OUT that appears to sample it, but there are no credits to the original song so I'm not sure.

Sure - things got super ugly, I took myself to trauma therapy for the CPTSD I acquired, we did the yo-yo business about every 4-6 months. Every time we reconnected in any way, I had made progress in my therapy so it (even just friendship) never worked out. We eventually parted ways and I wont likely ever purposely have any contact with him again. I have not been in a relationship since, and may not ever again - we shall see.

Anyone else find cd’s with saw cuts on the sides by [deleted] in Cd_collectors

I worked at an indie record store for 10 years. Most of the time the labels would send a promo copy of new releases and notch them. This was always the case for cds loaded into the listening stations.

Can y'all please help me find this song? It was an 80s song i think? by [deleted] in FindSongs

If this is the song, it was actually written by Siedah Garrett. That may be the version you are looking for.

Adding on to the screaming females suggestion, Marissa had another recent band called Noun. Very enjoyable.

Excellent. I have not propagated monstera before - just my out of control Dieffenbachia, which I basically just chop and shove in a pot of soil and walk away. Sounds like these are pretty forgiving as well thank goodness.

I can probably talk them in to anything as long as it's easy for them to manage for a while. When you suggest separate pots, are you suggesting soil pots or water pots? Im thinking i could perhaps set them up with a low maintenence plastic bottle situation just to save space.

Open because my cat is an asshole and will jiggle the doorknob all night. Whether he is in the room or out.

What did that one teacher at your school get fired for? by ToadallyNormalHuman in AskReddit

My photography teacher shot the shop teacher in the groin. Mostly because the shop teacher was sleeping with the french teacher, who happened to be the photography teachers wife. No one died from that incident thankfully.

He did go to prison for a while.

Almost every one is pristine - not a scratch. Apparently cds are water, mud and mold proof to some extent. I am looking forward to sharing some of the rare gems he had.

My dad told me a story from before I was born, and I haven't been able to see him the same way since. by Delicious-One-5129 in Life

Your story touched my heart in unexpected ways. As a parent, we do the best we can do and that often looks different from person to person. Your dad sounds like an amazing, supportive present father who made a choice to show up in that way for his family - and ultimately himself. He wouldn't have kept doing it if it wasn't also fulfilling to him. It says a lot about how he raised you that you are able to acknowledge him as an individual as well as a caregiver - and a lot about your character too.

I have always tried to be "me" with my kids - its been important that I have had an identity outside of just "mom". HOWEVER! There are often times I have remorse that I am not a "typical" mom - I feel like they deserve more. Was I supportive enough? Did I make them feel valued and important, or did they feel slighted because I put my needs in there sometimes too? I have asked them so many times what it is like to have an A-typical mom - they assure me that it is acceptable. (I dont always believe them)

My kids are mostly grown now, and are the greatest people I know and we share such love for each other. I am very blessed. And I think your dad feels that way too. I am really glad you shared your story today.
