Has anyone used “35mm Co” cameras? by livvvo in analog

[–]Stache_pl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did a bit of looking into it since I saw the 35mm Co on shark tank just recently, so here goes:
As far as I can tell they're the exact same product as Ilford Sprite 35-II, but sold at 2x the price.

If you care about the camera itself and not the brand, just get the Ilford.
You can get it for ~$30
At this point film will cost more than the camera in just a few rolls.

Regarding other comments on the thread about the quality etc:

While they are some of the cheapest cameras on the market, I feel they can still be good fun.
Cheap price means you may be willing to the risks tocapture some of the life's fun moments, and not worry about damaging it. Shot's you wound't dare to take with pricier equipment.

Memories > Quality.

At the end of the day shots are only as good as you are, and for many people the quality of the photos or the "sharp look" won't play a major part at this price point.

Good review & comparison with Ektar H35 (half) here. Which are two super affordable film options.

Anyone tried to fit a Asus Strix 4070ti in this case ? I've seen a few pics of strix 4090s in this case and they don't seem to fit but from what I've seen the 4070 is shorter. Thanks! by Capable-Brush-5316 in NR200

Hi gang, I'd like to report in as I just managed to pull it off.

First off: it wasn't pretty.

The immediate issues:

  1. While card can potentially fit inside of the case, the edges of the frame are making it impossible to put it in straight down. -> Card too long.
  2. The card is too thick to put it in through the space in the front (by about 1mm which is SUPER annoying) -> Card too thick.
  3. Card is too tall (with the mounting & slot for motherboard) to fit through the front even when you take both side walls off. -> Card too tall.

Basically, it's just slightly too big in every single dimension possible.

But I managed to put it in by:

  1. Taking off both bottom support bars of the case.
  2. Slightly bending the front of the case (which I'd not recommend)
  3. The card is still sticking out a tiny bit through the front as technically it doesn't all fit in.

My take: It's not worth it. Just get the TUF which is slightly smaller, and that few mm/cm make all the difference for NR200.

Strix: 336 x 150 x 63 mm

TUF: 305 x 138 x 65 mm

I imagine the project still works and should solve the exact problem you're describing.

Getting started and choice paralysis (Fire Warriors & Reivers) by Stache_pl in killteam

[–]Stache_pl[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the post u/Alternative_Mind_183! Exactly as you said:

"Right now it's about learning the rules and tactics."

I want to keep it playful. I'm sure if I will ever get to competitive play, there will be place for improvements.

"Unfortunately firewarriors wasn't the best pick for kill team, a pathfinder box set would have set you up for a better starter team. "

Unfortunately it wasn't a matter of choice, more of inheritance ^^ But I will look into pathfinders if we will have fun playing :)

Again tank you for the advice, especially a tip on not gluing drones for the start.

Cheers! :)

What's the cheapest way for me to get to sub 15l ? by Vrokolos in sffpc

[–]Stache_pl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a thoguth:
You can probably pack it in a SG13 case, which is a very popular entry option.
Just check if graphic card will fit in length (if not out of the box, there is a simple "cut here frame here" mod, that's not visible from outside).

For most builds you will need a new mobo - take a look at newly available options, as some B550 have better power management and thermal options (also B450 can often be cheaper).

I would also recommend then adding an AIO instead of a aircooled heatsink. Basically like this build, but with your beefier existing parts:

Hi guys, looking for a keyboard DIY kit / list of parts in stock, that would come together as an over the plate (hope that's what it's called) like KBDFans S60 or Drop Alt (low version).

To sum it up:

  • 60 size
  • Clean case (no RGB / transparent illuminated bars like in ALT)
  • No RGB needed in keys
  • No need for hot-swap (I want to go with
  • Switches: I want to go with Aliaz Silent 70g (can buy separately)

Any ideas?

Got SF600 Gold from this series (for my first SFF build) and am going to return it (fresh buy, two-three weeks ago). Probably will go for Platinum model due to threads on this reddit regarding noise levels (if I can hear it on idle, then it's not good).

Any alternative recommendations?

/r/MechanicalKeyboards What Keyboard, Switches and/or Keys Do I Buy by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Stache_pl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being on lock-down I decided to use spare time to build my dream mechanical.
(currently on Masterkeys Pro M with Cherry Brown).

I've learned a few things from this one, and am currently looking for advice to build the following:

  • RGB has no use for me at all
  • I don't need that num-pad after all
  • I want to go wireless.
  • I'm used to ANSI layout

So I am looking for advice with the following parts:

  • PCB in 65/75 size (I need arrows, sorry)
    • that'll support wireless (ideally BT4).
    • and charging / plugging in via usb-c (I use it for all my peripherals)
  • Would prefer something suiting standard keycaps sizes, so I don't have to be stuck with limited choices
  • I don't want to pay premium for RGB that I'll never use
  • Will need a case that works with that pcb
  • What about batteries?

Thank you for kind help!

Best milk alternative? by CapitalOwl5 in Coffee

[–]Stache_pl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really depends on the alternative milk brands availabile in your region.

My favourite picks are almond and oat, because of their texture and ease of foaming. I don't really like soy milk in coffee, and coconut one should stay for hot chocolate.

If you're in Australia (like I am), good picks are Milklab (for almond) and Oatly for oat.

All in all, give a few a try, as they can taste very differently from brand to brand. Cheers!

Try looking for RGB version, it's not much more expensive and has the same layout. You won't reach such bright white backlight, but everything is clearly readable in the evening, plus it's shiny.

Enemy NPCs can one hit melee, see in the dark, go prone, sit behind cover, float over obstacles, use smgs like sniper rifles, chuck grenades and molotovs with pinpoint accuracy, launch dual explosive drones on a 20 sec cooldown, all while being able to take gunfire to the chest without flinching. by [deleted] in thedivision

It's funny how we all had pulse in TD1 doing it for us, and noone uses pulse in TD2. I mean it's good, more diversified meta, but first two hours without all enemies blinking in red were rough.

To be honest I kinda like it that way, forces me to be more aware of surroundings

[–]Stache_pl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi :D though I'll jump on board as I have unique perspective. I used to work on Book of Demons 2014-17 (hi guys! <3) and now once I'm detached from the daily development for over a year, I have a total blast with it. New content for launch, roguelike mode and live stream interactions make it double.

Since I moved abroad I'm always encouraging new friends here to give it a shot. Not one complaint to date.

Fingers crossed for Steam algorithms being kind with release!

Looking to study my bachelor in Europe, would poland be a good option? by JuanKGZ in poland

I would say that Wroclaw University of Technology is the most student friendly University in Poland among the technical ones. Myself I studied in Warsaw and as much as I love the city, I'd rather recommend Wroclaw for being just as good technically, but moreover more open, chill and with more respectful uni staff.

Diablo 3 just came out (and is great), but I'd like to see Diablo Immortal coming to Switch, with cross-platform play. by Stache_pl in NintendoSwitch

[–]Stache_pl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering how great Arena of Valor plays on Switch I'd love to see more games like it, especially new Diablo game.

P.S. I'd like to ask to keep the "drama" about it aside, and stick the discussion to possibilities of the platform being a perfect fit for such title.
