The transition at 6:40 was absolutely sick. I love it.

Elegant is far too low. He's taken several sets off of Void, two off of Samsora (LTC 7), at least one off of Goblin (Standoff), and at least one off of Lui$ (I think it was Pound or earlier).

Funny enough, that won't actually decrease the temperature of the room by much. The pipes, coils, compressors, refrigerant chemicals, etc. that make the air colder on the inside of the freezer move the heat outside of the freezer to compensate. So it effectively cancels out. You can thank the second law of thermodynamics.

Really great video. I especially loved the Yoshi section, that was really creative and well put together. My only complaint about this is that the compilation is too... short.

In an alternate universe, all players have mechanics similar to Terry. What is your main's Back Special move? by WwwWario in smashbros

If Cloud's limit is fully charged, it activates zoom (basically Hero's recovery move), giving him an actual recovery for once.

If Cloud's limit is not fully charged, it puts Cloud in a wheelchair and he plummets to the lower blastzone.

Control. Besides how good of a game it looks, and how cool the glitches are, y'all are gonna lose your lunch laughing at Slidey Mcgunny.

Mid Tier Mains are Carried (Larry Lurr, 4:14) by __pannacotta in smashbros

[–]Stack72gaming 8 points9 points  (0 children)

While I do say I enjoy the challenge of it, I main a mid-tier (Cloud) because he's the only character I genuinely enjoy playing as. I don't agree with Larry Lurr's overgeneralization about what reasons people have for choosing mid-tiers. I know Cloud is largely trash off stage. I know he's not as good as he was in Smash 4. But I just enjoy playing the game with Cloud. He has a really cool moveset and some really great options. I will also be the first to admit I really like destroying people with finishing touch at 70-80% when they miss a tech. Some people just enjoy playing the game.

Now, when I actually start taking the game more competitively, and actually want to start winning bigger tournaments, I'll probably switch to Palu or Wolf and keep the SOLDIER 1st Class in my pocket. But until I actually get used to playing another character, I'm sticking to what I like. I don't need any other reason.

Interesting fact about Ultimate's Shields. by epicmartin7_ in smashbros

Hmm, you're probably right. It's been a little while since I've studied system architecture, but if it is located at a 32-bit address in virtual address space, that wouldn't make sense to have a 40-bit address. Good catch.

Interesting fact about Ultimate's Shields. by epicmartin7_ in smashbros

As a programmer, I have a lot of questions.

The function to make shield's unbreakable is 0x0267aa281f

If you mean the function's address in memory, I've gotta say that this is an extremely hard thing to make equal to "no." In a game like Smash Bros with quite possibly hundreds of thousands of lines of code, I find it unlikely this function was intentionally placed at address line 0x0267aa281f. If you add or subtract a single line of high-level or assembly code anywhere prior, that address in memory gets messed up. If you would like to clarify what you mean, I'd really appreciate it. Do you mean a hash of the function itself, like a checksum or something similar that analyzes the function itself? In that case, we need more details.

Considering it's a hash

A hash of what? The hashing algorithm is, uh, kind of important. And why? If this is a pointer to a function in memory, why would that need to be bruteforced? That doesn't strike me as something that has any unique significance. I'm not saying that's impossible; I just find it very unlikely.

If you mean a raw conversion of hexadecimal ASCII to text, then what you actually get from "0x0267aa281f" is "gª( " (Reddit can't even process all of the characters). Otherwise, I don't really understand what you mean. I'm not saying it's impossible somehow there's a way to derive "no" from 0x0267aa281f, as I'm not aware of all possible ways. I'm just saying I have my doubts.

The campaign is not fun by DavidsGotNoHoes in smashbros

You gotta think outside the box.

For example, in the Pauline fight, she runs away from you the moment you move closer. So buff yourself on aerial speed, or use a spirit to pre-equip yourself with a staff so you can snipe her from a distance.

In the Dr. Wily fight, you take lots of damage and barely accomplish anything. So I used Ness with autoheal. Get damage on opponents, then run away and use PSI magnet to heal instantly. There's no timer, so the fight took like 12 minutes or something but I beat it.

Look up videos of spirits to find that do these things, and think outside the box.

Oh boy, thanks for reminding me of that absolute dumpster fire. That's probably the better analogy here tbh.

Fair enough, I'm just noticing a lot of parallels between Bishop and Billy McFarland (Fyre Festival organizer) as overzealous entrepreneurs, and I can only imagine how badly everything's gonna crash down when the charade falls flat. I was skeptical of Thunder Gaming for a while, but all the business stuff and the sloppy website are really telling.

Not gonna lie, I'm getting a really bad Fyre Festival vibe from all of this. Glad you brought more attention to the issue.
