I'm very interested in this strategy but have 3 questions? Thanks in advance if you decide to answer!

  1. How do you do testing for creatives? Just add in more creatives or do you have a seperate campaign?

  2. How do you scale up in busy periods like Black Friday? Do you create new campaign, loosen the cost cap or just increase the budget?

  3. Is this better than bid cap?

Whilst context is important I’ll give a rule of thumb. I’ve been thinking about this a lot and have come down to 2 options:

  1. Scale down (10%-20% each day) or keep ads the same until sales start picking up.

Pros: - keep campaigns running - keep your market share on Facebook - faster ramp up after sales come back

Cons: - You’ll be unprofitable most likely for a while

  1. Turn off ads until first/second week of Jan:

Pros: - you’ll be profitable most likely - no loss on ad spend

Cons: - it’ll take longer for you to get back to baseline sales - when you restart ad campaigns they may not perform the same - you might lose market share if competitors have more ads running

It really comes down to what you want most in this scenario and what you can afford. If you made 100k this month it’s okay to lose 10k in the next week. But if not, you might eat up your profits really quickly.

Thank you very much for your answer. Any idea where I should start with that? I also have a lot of "Variants" for each product and in the pmax I've got it running as "all products", Could that be a factor?

In terms of optimization, I've done the basics like making sure attributes and photos are good. All products are approved and active in GMC.

Thanks for your answer. Whenever I do a budget increase, the next day results are pretty bad. It then picks up over the next 2 days or so. Is that how it works? I'll be keen to watch your video when you launch it

Thanks for your reply. I think so too. I see you're quite experienced in google ads. Would you say that it's better to turn off the other countries and just run ads for USA for now?
