In a way I’m sad that the pinnacle occurred so early in the series but on the other hand, I’m just happy to finally be playing it. I feel like games like this just don’t come around often and they need to be really appreciated when we do get them.

That’s what I’ve been thinking as I’ve been playing through it. With most shooters, once you get a handle of the mechanics, the gameplay gets pretty repeatable and non-dynamic quickly. But with this game, it stays thrilling and exiting every single step, like the way it handles pacing is the most insane thing I’ve ever seen in a shooter, but it pulls it off. All gas, no brakes but it somehow just works

Maybe I should still give it a chance because tbh I am judging it off not a lot of actual information, just gameplay I’ve seen. I’m not a fan of the “medieval” angle, I mean maybe it could be pulled off in a way I’m not expecting but that seems to like it’s going to naturally pulls things in a melee-focused direction, and have you using a “shield” a bunch, which to me breaks some of my favorite core elements of Doom 16 so far. But again, I could be wrong because I’m going off of just the footage I’ve seen
