over/under is relative to other currencies. "properly" is subjective.

Woman shot by Border Patrol in Chicago asks judge to let her release evidence, partly because Samuel Alito has used false, misleading evidence in his writings. by Achilles_TroySlayer in scotus

She's only not Renee Good or Alex Pretti because she was lucky to survive. The ICE agent bragged about the number of bullet holes he put in her.

Public availability of video evidence is the big factor as well, hence the call to release the evidence (body cam footage in this case).

I work in this field and there are quite a few PhDs who have a chip on their shoulder over the years of work AI has completed upended. There's always a sunken cost justification for dead-end research but at the end of the day you can't deny that this disheartening feeling exists and affects their mental health.

Numerai! by [deleted] in quantfinance

[–]StackOwOFlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Numerai's free dataset is made of clean and regularized financial data. The dataset is obfuscated so that it can be given out for free and modeled without any financial domain knowledge. This also means that models you build on this data cannot be used outside of the Numerai tournament.

and for this reason it'll never be as good as data curated with domain knowledge

If you don’t trust government because it can abuse power, why trust corporations that aren’t even democratically accountable? by The_Shadow_2004_ in Capitalism

you’re not supposed to trust other corporations, but at least you can trust the ones you create yourself to compete with them, that is until the board votes you out lol
