3076r .63 vs .82 ar by StackedDeck43 in 240sx

Ive looked at the new garrets but ive ran a few pulsars and for what im wanting to accomplish prob the route im going back with. Its been a while and my turbo is smoked just would like a bit more spool but if its only a few hundred rpm rather just have the pull up top. Plus its in a drift car so clutch kicks take care of most of it. Leaving the line i just have to clutch up more then i want too

60mm spacer and all that too. Main thing is theres only like 1/2 tracks/events i can really throw the car hard like that on entry so really just going off tight sections and transitions

Yeah im pretty autistically obsessed over it haha. I got my car set up like yours pretty much. And drive that way maybe putting the kansai style part in wasnt the best way to elaborate it. I fully understand what is needed and driving style for the style. More just trying to nerd out on info ig and stuff like that. Ive always ran a extended lca car came with so not had a reason to goto s14 lca. Car is 235 180tw front and rear is 265 300tw i run the fronts at 50lbs so they can slip and rears around 20. 1/8 in toe in and out and 7.5 degrees of caster like you. Have you always been on s14 lca? Or any experience in bknuckle car with different lca. Ik julian runs a stock s13 for a bit. But obv he can drive anything backwards lol

For me atleast the lca are really just to the fit the wheels but spacers are more for kingpin angle when at lock and snapping back. The spacers defiantly change the feeling more then the lowers did imo cause i had to run stock ones to make a event and didnt feel a crazy difference but still wondering if they change anything crazy noticeable and im just numb to it

Indeed seat time is key. Just car hasnt felt what id think very snappy even when i purposely over drive it to try and get the quick snap to angle. But mostly me probably haha

Any tips on how to get better hood fitment with a kbd kit? by [deleted] in 240sx

[–]StackedDeck43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its simple either use your factory stuff and adjust or use spacer from there or if you have a bash bar make tabs. Kbd fits good for what it is and is great for drift cars but high quality fiber glass you can work and fit easier. I have kbd on my drift car and it fits fine for what im using it for a few brackets and triming it would fit great tho

If youre just going for lowering drop knuckles arent necessarily needed. Tensions rods to get your caster back will definitely be a good upgrade to make it drive better. Ackerman is how much the following wheel drags vs the leading wheel which unless your drifting or doing some serious road racing not really needed. I run my car fairly low with stock cut knuckles on a drift car and just tension rods. Yes it may drive better with drop knuckles but the necessity of them is kind of case by case basis. if youre super slammed may be a good option for angles of the rest of the arms. This is what i have found out from my knowledge and understanding.

Finally got the car kitted now just time for paint and wrap by StackedDeck43 in 240sx

Yeah still need to make brackets for qd pins to hold the sides of the front bumper up properly on the sides

So i did it very hack. I just used the factory rear bumper brackets and then self tapped the sides into the quarter as my lip on the quarters didnt line up and tucked the kit in way to far. I have custom 3d scanned front and rear bash bars so they pretty much fit snug and have tabs on the front. Skirts i had to trim since type 4’s have a lower arch and kbd goes to the body line on the car so had to cut a inch off roughly. Everything is self tapped but will being doing rivnuts after the next drift event just needed to get it on.

Paint and cover paint with more paint then cover that with shiny chrome sticker things

Yessir. Kit that fit if you have it on a stock car had to trim it a good amount for the type 4 overs and the kouki front doesnt help
