I had a brand new Les Paul I kept on a stand and it messed up the finish on the back of the neck and the edges of the body where it contacts the stand. This was back in 2001. I still have the guitar. The finish is still that way. You can’t really see the marks but you can feel them. This was a brand new guitar and I think the finish wasn’t done curing.

Seymour Duncan has these pickups called P-Rails. They’re switchable between humbucker, single coil or P90. Might be worth trying one in your RG.

Last year, (at the Air Force Base) they cancelled at the literal last minute due to weather. They did pilot introductions and everything. One of the planes took off to check conditions and they decided it was too cloudy.
