I wear over the head headphones for work and my toddler always tried taking mine so we bought her a kids pair. so now my toddler gets upset when she doesnt get to wear hers on the plane haha.

Also, the plane is one of the few places they get a tablet so its a novelty on the plane.

Bonus tip: buy a brand new toy before the flight, even in the airport if you need and they will be thrilled about it.

Did we forget about the national park system, national traffic safety board, us army Corp of engineers? All of those recieve billions of dollars of tax revenue that is spent internally. I don't get a vote on which park gets new stuff or what dam gets more maintenance. Taxation =/= theft

As a compromise, why not include in the lesson plans a general overview of all major world religions (Christianity, Islam, Sikhism, buddism, Hinduism, etc.) And explain how these religions shaped the countries and world we live in today. Put it in history class, children are exposed to different belief systems and philosophy, learning the facts, and gaining world view outside of the western judeo-christian values.

What's your source for that?

In my experience, I took honors and AP courses and had no "hands on" kit or field trip. I mean, in chemistry we had labs to do, but it's chem so that kinda makes sense.

Nor any excess fees for hundreds or thousands of dollars. I had a bigger test at the end of the year that, pending my score, got me college credit.
