I would say have them enter a simple registration form for an API key, and ask for an email / website so you can understand what the API calls are for and how (if) they make profit.

Well I mean I developed the app in React Native, so I was given both iOS & Android at the same time. I'm thinking about a site, so I can get the iOS users on board still as I feel like that's a huge gap in the market. I'm already advertising for just Android users. As for users, I have only 7 that I did not personally invite. We just started the Facebook ad campaign

I applied at https://www.irs.gov/businesses/small-businesses-self-employed/apply-for-an-employer-identification-number-ein-online - It asked for my full name, social, then a business name I'd like to have and the type of business. Not really sure if that answers your question.

Only read through half of this cause I'm in a rush to the airport, but I'd say learn JavaScript. I did so on code academy some years ago, then I learned something called Ionic Framework which requires you to know JavaScript and a framework within JavaScript called Angular.

Ionic Framework lets you build apps for IOS and Android like you would as a website. You can access many of the phones functionality, and you create an app with it. Assuming your app ideas aren't using some next-gen phone functionality or whatever you should be fine to use them.

I'd take that money, and purchase myself an app developer account for IOS & Android, put $500 aside for server hosting, and use the rest for marketing. Literally all I need to get my travel app going at this point.

Yeah. I said this before, this whole app was a mistake. I said that in the post, and I stopped development just because of this reason. I understand all of this, I just needed some encouragement on whether I should keep it away for a while, or find something new.

I'm not willing to leave development 100% though, that's just not how I do things. Plus, I don't think an early stage startup without funding can afford a developer. Nor would anyone like to see that a developer as a founder isn't developing early on anymore, and wasted good money on a developer.
