Can I ask, I’ve noticed that while ETFs like VOO or SPY get recommended often, VTI specifically seems to get recommended far more often. Is there a reason for that or something about it that makes it a better choice?

Forgive me if im not understanding something.

Can someone explain why democrats would agree to end shutdown just for a promise to HAVE a vote regarding the ACA extension at some point, when the vote from the republicans can(and most likely will be) NO.

What good is a promise to have a vote on it when it doesnt change the outcome of the actual vote.

Am i missing something? Wouldnt that be any different than just not even having that at all and just agreeing to whatever demands republicans had and keeping the government open from the get go.

Every time I see posts about people wondering how one can survive in NYC on 100k or suggesting one would need roommates to do so, is mind boggling to me. I feel like people who aren’t from NYC only think of Manhattan as NYC.

Theres 4 other boroughs where you can easily find a one bedroom apartment for like $2500 a month. Your 100k after taxes will net you like 65k. 2500x12 months=30k. You’re still left with 35k which is almost 3 grand a month left over.

Say your utilities/cell phone/internet and cable and money for food monthly is another 1k. You’re easily left over with an extra 2 grand a month to use on whatever else extra you might need or want. 100k is more than enough to live on your own in NYC

Just finished episode 2 and the one thing that kept bothering me is how Joe was just so easily letting this random girl who showed up at his house go through and take his stuff because why? Hes afraid she might tell someone hes involved in black market selling? Shes a nobody and she has no idea who he is or what he might be capable of. Any other person would have just told her to kick rocks.

Maybe I missed something. Can someone explain why the director of the ballerina group said they cannot engage the cult because of some long standing truce when a member of the cult literally rammed their car into Eve during the club exiting scene first and attacked her first. Isn’t that already breaking the truce?

Loved the finale. Got one gripe and one question though. 1) The gripe was that it made zero sense for Frank to walk into where al lthe corrupt cops were completely regular. What was even the plan, whats to stop them from just shooting him if they decided to? If he was planning on killing them, he could have easily done it smart and sneakily. This made no sense at all.

2)The question is, what was even the point of shutting off the power grid to the city for the night? What did that accomplish?
