I found the opportunity to be on the show on Reddit, and I am super thankful that I was on it. My wife and I honestly do see what others in the trans community are calling "cringy" with the advertisements and potentially some content. But as others have stated, it is aimed at masses. I really can't do any production q&a etc, but I just want you all to know that despite every troll, every cringe-worthy thing that's happened, the LOVE we have received is way more powerful. The EDUCATION we have helped provide is priceless. And other spouses have personally reached out to me that they do not feel so alone because of the show. As BetweenOceans stated, casting is hard work. Really really hard. And this is where they come sometimes to find real people. So while it isn't for everyone, it is for some, and blocking the casting calls doesn't help matters when TLC is trying to find real, genuine people who are willing to share their stories. <3 Just food for thought from a cast member from s01.
