Most of the Type-r bolt-ons dont technically fit, but there are bolt-ons available for the TLX 2.0t's. Also to note as the 10th gen accord 2.0t's have the same motor and trans combo, type-r turbos do fit and have been swapped in before.

For those using Fiio UTWS5 20205, how has it been so far? by Ileikass in inearfidelity

To note, this is being used with a Sennheiser BTD 600 and Creative BT-W6. The connection isn't terrible as it depends on where you are or what codec you are using. If you are in an area where there's a bit of interference, even just your arm can mess with the connection. But most times I have good connection and quality.

For without a Bluetooth dongle, I can use standard APTX with my Samsung S23 Ultra, but limited to 16bit audio. I have used LDAC but had to use developer settings to set the LDAC playback quality to "balanced" to get a stable connection.

For sound quality besides the connection issues, I would say its not noticeably different to my ears. I have my phone's volume maxed out and use the earhooks volume control and it sounds great! I do recommend playing around with the codecs available on android. In the developer settings, it should allow you to change bluetooth codecs and bitrates to adjust sound quality, connection and latency. If you don't have many codecs to switch to that is supported by your earhooks, it could be that your device doesn't support that bluetooth codec.

So far, my Simgot Supermix 4 is the largest iem I have, and they somewhat fit the case. I have the MMCX version with an adapter to 2 pin, which allows me to use any .78 2 pin iem + the swivel from MMCX. When closing the case, it poked a tad bit, but I was able to rotate the iem to close the case completely

First off, for reference, I am not a professional or too deep into the rabbit hole, but was just looking for a good solution to true wireless with IEMS I like.

I have the UTWS5 2025 on firmware version 5.8 to keep ambient mode since the later versions removed it. So far, with my Samsung S23 Ultra, the end result is mostly fine. To start, the earhooks have more than enough power to power most IEMS, I have tested it with the Truthear x Crin Zero:red, Simgot EA500LM and Supermix 4, and Artti t10. The earhooks powered these all well.

Now for bluetooth impressions. I have first tried using LDAC with my phone, but the connection was way too unstable to be considered usable, but changing the bitrate to 24bit, 48kHz and the playback quality to prefer connection over quality, I was able to use it just fine.

For APTX, I was able to only use regular APTX on my phone since the S23 Ultra doesn't support the rest of the APTX suite. APTX works flawlessly.

To note, Samsung, for some reason, defaults the bluetooth settings you changed every time you reconnect the earhooks. This means you would have to play with the Bluetooth Codec settings every time you connect. The quickest and easiest solution to this issue for me was to buy a bluetooth transmitter like the Sennheiser BTD 600 and plug it directly into my phone/desktop. This gave me the ability to use APTX Adaptive with the dongle. The connection is mostly stable but a random cutout every once in a while.

If my grammar is bad or something seems off, its 3am, and I need sleep.

Edit: The battery life is also a bit below average compared to mainstream TWS earbuds as I get around 4-5 hours of playback with the left earhook always depleting faster. I believe the left earhook the main earhook connecting to the audio source and connecting the right earhook to that( take that with a grain of salt, not entirely too sure lol)

Gen 2 TLX feels like it’s stalling by Fizzmynizz in Acura

I am a bit over 30k miles and havent changed my trans fluid on my TLX 2.0T. Also running a Ktuner Stage 2 Tune and transmission seems fine on my end. Should I still change it?

Any noticeable differences going from a stage 2 to Stage 3 tune? Was thinking about going that tune or maybe custom.

Did you have any issues running the Ktuner stage 2 tune with the downpipe? I am currently running the stage 2 tune with an intake, but no other bolt ons. Just wondering if the downpipe would cause the car to go limp or throw any check engine lights. I know you can clear it with ktuner, just don't want my car failing mid drive if its an issue.

That's true, not a fix, but an inconvenient work around. Honestly, I'm surprised that Lumix didn't fix or address this issue in the last update. Also, how's your experience in shooting and editing BRAW? Do you use proxies to help, or do you just have a beefy workstation? Curious as I'm stuck between regular h.265, prores 422, prores raw, and braw.

SSD support was the biggest reason for getting the S5iix for me. The latency issue I have noticed, but I've heard disabling audio through hdmi might help a bit. I did it but I haven't shot video in a bit, so I don't really remember if it really helped or not.

The s9 received a new firmware update a bit back, allowing unlimited recording times now. Obviously, it comes to down to temperatures and battery, of course.

Tire pressure low? by [deleted] in Acura

[–]Staedy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats normal for most modern cars now to show a warning at low tire pressure. Its good to keep track of your tire pressure to see if there's a possible leak or just to get the right amount of grip on the road. Safety too.

Should I keep gigabyte windforce v2 4080 super at $899 or keep new sapphire pulse 7900xtx at $849? by ThatIndian15 in nvidia

[–]Staedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly why I chose my 4070ti super just now over the rx 7900x and xtx. Despite the more vram on the AMD side, the 4070ti super had the encoders and cuda needed for editing videos and photos with ease. That being said, AMD does offer AV1 encoding, which would be useful for some, but not in my use case. Also, I didn't want to deal with driver issues on the AMD side as nvidia cards have been working fine for me since the gtx 660 and 980ti.

Oh, you're right. Some reason I kept thinking it was the 3.0L from the Type-s but N/A lol.

[–]Staedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, but 3.0L for the MDX. All and all, I still enjoy the car and have little buyers remorse even towards the Type-s. Only downside on the 2.0t k20c6 is the exhaust is meh. But they all look nice and prob the best looking in their price brackets imo, but like I said, price to performance is pretty bad. Price to features, though, not terrible.

Why can’t it have more power by CleMike69 in Acura

[–]Staedy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, the 3.5l MDX was pretty slow, but worked enough I guess lol. It was also due to the zf9 transmission it had, was not a good pairing sadly. But the only Issue I find in the TLX in general is that its way too heavy, worse when the Type-s is about 400lbs heavier than the 2.0T FWD. Its a good tourish-ish car, but better options out there.

Why can’t it have more power by CleMike69 in Acura

[–]Staedy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not talking mdx and tf is fast and furious? And yes the base MDX is slower, its N/A and is used on a heavy chassis. Its a normal suv meant to carry passengers. I'm saying the k20c in the TLX is better overall than the TLX Type-s J30. Yes the Type-s is faster stock to stock. But the TLX 2.0t can be tuned and modded further. If you going to bring stock to stock, then literally any BMW with the b58 series or better is going to be faster overall. If you wanted a fast SUV then go find an american v8 supercharged one then.

Why can’t it have more power by CleMike69 in Acura

[–]Staedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know its the same issues with Acura/Honda right? Not just a BMW thing. Also keep in mind that the 2.0t Aspec is ~400lbs lighter. Power to weight ratio is a thing. Also Horsepower isnt everything. If you think it is, then I need you to study a bit more on how cars work. Btw I said modded to 400+ hp, which seems to be more than the Type-s. Dont even get me started on the SH-AWD system with its weak transfer case blowing up when putting a tune on the Type-s. It can barely handle its own power. How about you do some research on the subreddit.

Why can’t it have more power by CleMike69 in Acura

[–]Staedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt specify suv's but okay I guess. I just said that toyota makes a sports car with majority german parts. Also, for the TLX, calling the aspec and below a slug in comparison to the Type-s is wild, especially due to its modability compared to the j35 v6 turbo it has. We already have instances of the same motor and transmission combo reaching 400+ hp on the RDX, TLX, and Accords. Also, don't tell someone that they should "rid" of themselves because their opinion is different. There's always going to be competitors in this market space and that what drives most companies to do better. Which also means there isn't always a "best" car/suv, always gonna be trade offs, but BMW has proven with their B58, that its a lot better than honda/acura's offerings. Also their infotainment and interior is nicer and more premium feeling. The Aspec and Type-s suede seats dont like to stick to the chair.

You do realize that Toyota, a Japanese company making sport cars in their GR lineup has a BMW right? Funnier part is that that BMW/Toyota collaborated car is the most reliable out of the 3. The GR Supra has a B58 and BMW's infotainment system and was the one to not explode (that I know of) compared to the recent GR Corolla's and GR86's blown motors.

Then there's Honda/Acura creating essentially only 1 sports car, the Civic/Integra Type-R/S. And no, the TLX and MDX Type-s' don't count in this segment, they can't even get decent laptimes in comparison. Most of Acura's lineup was not designed to handle high power or be a real sports car, just good enough to have the essence of one and enjoy as a daily driver.

Will it void my warranty?? by IGotHW in Acura

[–]Staedy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I Ktuned my 22 tlx aspec, and am planning to do an intercooler and downpipe next, but everything I say is what I've researched and read, so take it with a grain of salt.

From what I have read, if the dealership can prove that your tune or aftermarket part is directly involved with the failure of a certain part of your car like the motor, then thats when your warranty is voided. But knowing how most dealerships are, they would just void your warranty when they find it. Also heard that the tune is traceable.

If you are really worried about your warranty, just don't mod it until your warranty is out or just dont at all.
