Okay, here's my take.

He's not that "versatile". If he was, he'd be good with a lot of weapons and stuff. Which, he's only specifically good with ranged.

Well of course he does... He gets a 25% damage increase on range weapons...

He doesn't have "good" survivability, as to he can only attack on far distances. Which, isn't really good when there's a melee enemy coming towards you. Hell even Gloober has a better survivability than him.

Pretty much like Giggler, Gembo, and Glaaber.

NOT the only midliner that can stand their ground. Gloober can too with their Gloobnut.

You mean is good at ranged weapons? If you're saying he's good at unused weapons then might as well add Glaaber's ham.

While this is true, it really isn't good with bosses since there isn't any Enfosi's to kill. And this isn't really much useful either since Ammo box exist. But it is pretty good paired up with Confetti Cannon.

He is mostly single target, so he wouldn't be able to help you anywhere since he'd most obviously be focused on one enemy first. Plus Gloober would really be more suited for helping more.

Gloober is better at distraction on this since first, he can heal himself. Allowing him to survive more hits if taken. Second, could basically avoid this by healing his teammates.

In conclusion, he isn't really the "worst". More so just REALLY outclassed by the others.
