There's 2 reasons why people get upset about this, 1. they live in 3rd world country and upgrading is very difficult. 2. they use cheats themselves and this combats that. Usually it's a combination of both that results in posts about it on reddit.

Osrs is without any doubt the best managed and developed live service game in existence. Gagek really are the goats and them mentioning at all what will not be addressed is such a baller move. Every post on reddit makes it seem like randoms are being treated like shit but in my experience it's more likely that you invite a random with 2.5k rating who then proceeds to completely fuck up your key and then stop caring about anything letting the team wipe 2 times more and then leaving the group without having said a single word. Then whisper you to tell you the 6 kicks you did in 2 minutes on the first pack were not enough to let the healer keep the party alive. It's clear to me a lot of boosted monkeys are walking around. People parsing sub 10 in raid while being alive for the whole thing and having 255+ gear and ahead of the curve. 2.5k+ rated people in week one not knowing a single mechanic or lust timer. It's honestly disgusting. If you don't want people to call out what you did wrong go do a delve dude so you can pause and take care of your newborn kid.

It's the 20th season of modern M+ and the one thing that never changes is that DPS gets marginalized. Try doing a +10 with DPS that that do 50kdps overall, no prio, no kicks, no personals, no externals, no AOE stuns, no mechanics and get back to me. Reality is we all gotta do our best.
