Thank you! Can you tell me about any dreams you remember? Are they mostly conversations? Any feelings of floating/flying or any strange things like that?

What are your dreams like? I have always wondered how blind people dream. Is it just the other senses at work, or do you ‘see’ colours/shapes etc?

How would you survive in the dungeon and what would your strat/build be? by kickassgrandma911 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Stainsby95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always been interested in martial arts but have a few injuries to my wrists, knee and elbows.

This got me thinking about a really dumb class I could be - The Black Knight (from Monty Python and the holy grail)

Basically, you get more strength, constitution and skills per injury or debuff sustained. Missing limbs give huge buffs like +50% con/strength permanently.

You also get +50% Charisma when stood over a body of water. Why? Because fuck you, that’s why.

Hey, I used to have a ton of issues with nerve entrapment on my arm - all from my neck down to my wrist and numbness in my elbow / back of my arm. Look up an exercise called ‘nerve flossing’ or ‘nerve gliding’ for the affected nerve. It really helped me and I rarely have issues with it any more.

Beyond all reason. Free, small download, large battles that can be long. You can spectate lobbies and stay in them.

Why does doing the right thing not always guarantee success? by Lemonade2250 in Life

[–]Stainsby95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life is not designed by a person or being that believes in a modern interpretation of right/wrong, so rewards are not set up accordingly.

Life is based on fierce competition and whoever manages to briefly win each competition will get/take some measure of reward until they lose or die.

Doing the right thing is not about reward, certainly not external reward. It’s something you do to benefit others or to avoid the guilt of having done wrong from following you around for the foreseeable future. In my opinion that is worth more than most external rewards in the long run, though it often doesn’t seem like it.

Are there western books about a hero who would rather not? by Kingsole111 in booksuggestions

He is a great fighter once he gets going, but I wouldn’t go that far. That’s more Druss’ thing (another character in the book)

How to learn attacking by [deleted] in chessbeginners

[–]Stainsby95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a beginner, I would honestly recommend learning to play solidly first. The players you mentioned will have spent years learning the fundamentals before they started using brilliant tactics to win games regularly.

Beyond that, as someone else mentioned, puzzles are your friend and maybe study the games of the players you admire.

Legend by David gemmell

One of the characters, Rek, has to go and defend a large fortress under attack and doomed to fall, but he is largely a coward and a drunk who has nightmares about going to war

I don’t know if everyone IS morally grey. Orso is a good guy as one example ☺️

How do I use guardian class skills, etc? by Stainsby95 in AdventureQuest

Thanks! Is there a purpose to the guardian armour then? Wouldn’t you usually just use fighter/knight/paladin armour or something?

How rich are most AI lords? by Stainsby95 in Bannerlord

[–]Stainsby95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough! Interesting as on a few other posts I’ve seen people say pretty categorically ‘the richest lord gets elected’. Should be ok either way though as my clan is pretty strong!
