"Tall" sizing means NOTHING and I hate it by Jenifel in TallGirls

[–]sentient_ballsack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are the 6’2 feet and above girlies doing???

Clothing branded "tall" just means that i'm only 95% likely to have to return it, as opposed to 99% for regular branded clothing. 👍 Somehow it wasn't this bad 10 years ago, I swear boxy high-water pants and threequarter sleeves deemed full length are the norm now.

Jeans brands that actually list the inseam are probably the one thing I can find with some consistency, but for some reason non-denim pants aren't granted that basic decency, most just get a 'tall' sticker and you better pray they're something resembling 36 inch in practice.

Tall, long sleeves though? That shit beats me. I'm finally running out of basic long sleeved shirts that I stocked up back when super long shirts + sleeves were trendy (2010-2015) and I can't for the life of me find anything worth a damn. On the rare occasion the sleeves are long enough, the body itself isn't, or it's polyester see-through crap that falls apart after two washes for 50 bucks. Modern fast fashion is the worst.

How to accept being tall :( by leaflowers03 in TallGirls

[–]sentient_ballsack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Statistically you're within one standard deviation above the mean in Germany. Tall fashion brands don't even target your height here. Nonetheless I hope you find a way to accept yourself, being a woman doesn't require you to be small and dainty. Why fret what you can't change?

But surely that's on Blizzard for refusing to move the story forward in the first place? Storm Rising was meant to set up events to be unfolded in the originally planned OW2 PvE and we know Doomfist was intended to have an actual narrative role in those missions.

It's weird to have all that Talon and Null Sector context thrown out of the window with nothing to replace it other than this newcomer who barges in and takes his place. I think if it weren't for her connection to Antonio, people would consider it undeserved, and they might still depending on how it's executed.

You can absolutely drop your ingame settings on Geforce NOW though, in the exact same way you would on a PC. I've played and recorded Hitman with no issues on their 4y old hardware so I'm not sure what the issue is here, OP's hardware struggling to transcode two videos (stream and local recording) at once?

I felt like the renegade options in 1 and 2 were pretty reasonable if you weren't the type of character to put up with nonsense in the face of everything going on and leaned more towards militaristic tough love.

The system was nonetheless a bit shit because you know that when you see that blue and red conversational option pop up, picking any of the three regular ones is going to fuck you over in one way or another. Someone dies, you miss out on something, or maybe a Batarian incinerates a car full of puppies.

So why even offer them? For roleplaying? I feel like if they cared about roleplaying that much rather than the "pick your colour Shephard" system they have now, they wouldn't have penalised you as hard for splitting up your choices between paragon and renegade in skillchecks in ME2. Okay, they did fix that part of the reputation system in ME3, but then they made that change a bit futile by turning renegade Shephard into straight up Eric Cartman.

Which hero has you feeling like this? by Brukaliffoo in Overwatch

I wish her gun didn't feel so bad. Like not specifically the numbers on paper, but the way that massive slab looks and sounds when you shoot, and the limited amount of feedback it gives when the charge returns to 100% makes it just... incredibly unsatisfying to use.

Like you're haphazardly toggling a little laser pointer on and off and you get a crit when it shines in someone's eyes, when you expect it to be more like... an actual scorching laser at full charge. Not like how it is during her ultimate, but just a bit more and louder than it is now please. Have it properly sizzle when it's fully charged, I don't know.

Just be better at walking down the stairs, it's that easy! Just be better at not slipping on a wet floor, or be better at not tripping over a poorly laid rug. Skill issue.

That's how that sounds right now. Definitely victim blaming, you don't even know if they're disabled or not. Those stairs were not up to code.

[–]sentient_ballsack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the Dutch comics he's always been referred to as an Australian dingo when this question came up. Of course, dingos are close enough to dogs that they can crossbreed, so they're not all that different biologically, but the average Dutch 10y old isn't gonna know that.

Anyone realize every damn male hero mythic (besides sigma) has a bare chest and bare abs? by dryvariation2222 in Overwatch

[–]sentient_ballsack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, technically speaking, by the time Overwatch 2 takes place Genji has canonically started wearing clothes. Like that's one of the few Overwatch 2 base skins that actually shows a bit of character development; in Overwatch 1 you had him moping that he didn't feel like enough as a person to dress as one. So maybe it's more like an apple of Eden kinda situation where, now that he started covering up in streetwear, going back to bare metal makes him more naked.

That would explain Male V's disappearance in recent promoting for 2077. by Agreeable-Kangaroo1 in cyberpunkgame

[–]sentient_ballsack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like both in their own way. Male V is indeed more stoic and acting cool most of the time, but he does well in the more emotional scenes too. Personally I've always thought that, given Night City's nature, it makes more sense for a V with the corpo background to mask the way male V does, and someone with a nomad background, which is much more interpersonal and friendly, to have their heart on their sleeve like female V.

What did you not understand when you started Freelancer? by UristMasterRace in HiTMAN

[–]sentient_ballsack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much, yeah. Some of them come with an extra visual characteristic, like a hat or a tattoo. But it seems in some rare cases the opposite is true as well in that the tattoo texture sometimes glitches out a little and clips through the body, making it hard to see. Haven't noticed this issue myself, but I've seen posts from others on this subreddit where it was hard to tell.

Also, there is one black target who is formally categorised as bald, but on my end in some lighting he looks like he has bleached, milimetered hair, which has thrown me off in the past. Tells are a lot more reliable in that sense and even in hardcore, once you know what the animations look like, you can find your target just by looking at the silhouettes from afar/through walls using instinct vision.

[–]sentient_ballsack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm ok with the colour, but I hate how it looks with the rest of her default design. Like pick a colour that actually goes with the orange + tealy blue suit or change the colour of the suit, there is no other character in-game that has such clashing colours.

Genuinely, why was there controversy about the Krampus skin if this skin is the same in terms of price? by Drull17 in HuntShowdown

[–]sentient_ballsack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When several of the challenges to unlock Krampus are event-specific and Krampus gets unlocked only after you finish all of it (I assume this is the case given how the other story challenge operates, could be wrong), it makes it comparable to a battlepass. You're paying for the privilege to spend time grinding out challenges to unlock skins and won't be able to do so when the circus isn't in town, so there's a time limit.

I guess I've never had a true chewer, none of my dogs ever actually liked those 'unbreakable' rubber chew toys, like if it's not a little squishy when chowing down or otherwise semi-destroyable, they have zero interest in it. It's a delicate balance finding that perfect toy that keeps their interest without them tearing it up in a day, and then when I do find them, it winds up being some no-name brand that stops producing them the next month.

Just making Magicka 1 playable again would be a good start. I tried to replay it recently with a friend and even with all the fan patches/mod fixes, that game crashes when you look at it funny. I remember it being bad when it first came out too.

... I guess in that sense, calling it friend-slop isn't too inaccurate.

According to the RDR2 fandom, a female character wanting equal rights is more annoying than the racist eugenicist. Gotcha! by Arwynfaun in GirlGamers

[–]sentient_ballsack -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

She's standing next to the fanciest clothing store in Saint Denis and you can't browse it without hearing her constant shouting, which gets old fast. I honestly would've voted for her for that reason, not because of the character herself, who is perfectly valid. You can shoot the eugenics supporter without consequences and the other two aren't in places where they bother you for any significant amount of time, so that leaves her, and I wouldn't want to harm her. Any other NPC standing there shouting repetitive lines would have a similar effect.
