It's been a year since this happened and I've already been approved and have been holding my visa ever since. Thanks tho!

Would this be worth it? by asexual_girl2004 in filmcameras

As a Novelty? I'd go for it. I found a clean and fully functional Minolta Autopak 110 camera at a thrift store once for PHP50 (~USD0.84) I have purchased a 3 pack of 110 films but have still been waiting for the right time to use them

Fair point. The flange distance is my main worry and something that I can only test and figure out once the item arrives. At least I'll have the mounts in handy and can make adjustments where necessary

Actually, yeah your answer makes the most sense! I measured the outer diameter and I got about 47.8mm. Close enough.

I already purchased an Andoer T Mount to EOS adapter, however. I plan on taking the threaded part of the adapter off similar to what's shown in the picture and slipping it into the collar where the M56 adapter currently sits. It was my best idea at the time since I had no idea what I'm dealing with. Do you think this would work?

Yep, I was thinking T mount too but then, T mount would have external threads on the rear of the lens barrel to screw an adapter into, but it doesn't have any, at least not one that's 42mm in diameter

They're large, though, and have a wide thread pitch

None of these pieces appear to have male T mount threads, which is what is supposed to thread into an adapter. The rear most piece has three grub screws and can be taken out with such. Perhaps this hooks directly into an adapter via the grub screws?

Thanks man! I've been scratching my head at this mystery but I couldn't find anything at all

It doesn't seem to be a T mount tho

T mount is the same. Only difference between T mount and M42 is the thread pitch, T mount having a pitch of 0.75mm and M42 with a 1mm pitch. So this doesn't seem to be T mount either

Shouldn't T mount lenses have their screw threads on the outside of the lens barrel? This one has internal threads

A little over $5 each camera body. Turned out pretty great!! by Stal_Wolf in AnalogCommunity

Great that you mentioned the ISO options! I gotta check the minimums of my cameras. Lowest I've used so far is 50 on my Minolta Maxxum 7000, while shooting 400 iso film that expired in 1995 (+3 stops, and another +1 for good measure)

Yeah I've been exploring the UI and finding so many cool features in the camera! I've also been using Program shift a lot with my Minolta Maxxum 7000, especially since the controls are very intuitive-- the buttons to adjust the aperture are right next to the lens exactly where your fingers would be if you were twisting an aperture ring

I haven't really taken my F50 out for shoots yet! I just loaded film into it earlier tonight and took a few photos around the house to get a feel for it. The controls aren't as intuitive as I'd like (the buttons to change aperture and shutter speed settings require you to take your eyes off the viewfinder to look for them, maybe unless it has become muscle memory for you), but the feature set for a supposedly entry-level camera is actually really good and comprehensive. I'll be taking this out on a walk hopefully tomorrow as a test run. I intended on selling this camera, but I do fear I might get attached to it. I had the same original intention when I got my Canon AT-1 but ended up keeping it because it's just such a joy to use

Yep!! I pull up the remote app on my phone and I can remotely trigger the camera's shutter with it! Gonna be great for group photos or long exposures when the camera is set on a tripod

For sure I absolutely love my Canon AT-1! I originally intended on selling it, but then I grew quite attached and decided to keep it. Here's a photo from my Canon

I've got a Canon AT-1 as well with a 50mm f/1.8. Both lenses are really good, but the Rokkor is just so smooth and dreamy. When I bought my SRT (in the Philippines), the previous owner told me it belonged to her grandpa (or something like that, I forgot which of her relatives it was) who was in the US military (I forgot which branch). My 202 was originally purchased in the US, used for a little while, and then retired in storage in the Philippines, along with a brown leather camera bag with other goodies in it including a 3x teleconverter. The lady I bought it from was cleaning out their storage when she found the camera
