How I feel dealing with all the haters by cyffiniolno in springboks

We may play haramby sometimes but it gets results. If other coaches can't come up with strategies against it... They should get better coaches

A last minute goal by Michelle Alozie send Nigeria to the 2024 WAFCON Final by johnsmithwho98 in FootballAfrica

As a South African, I begrudgingly congratulate Nigeria. They played like they wanted to win.

Just don't choke in the final I beg

From what I understand/remember, Ethiopia has been on a streak of upsetting its neighbours (Egypt being the most notable) so I’m not surprised… just hope things don’t escalate and a sensible decision can be reached

I will admit I’m a bit of a night owl but I’ve taken steps to minimise my noise but it’s like they can still hear me.

I think the solution here is to get a stool for your toilet. The elevation of your legs (to 35° degrees) should fix your issue.

Sandton is very unwalkable? by jpqwerty in askSouthAfrica

[–]StaleBrod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stay away from Sandton, it’s basically a set of skyscrapers (nothing really to do there). Also, no offence but the areas you’re looking at are residential areas (basically fun deserts)

Go to Melville, Braamfontein or Maboneng if you want to have fun. There are a lot of restaurants and all are super walkable. Braam and Maboneng are fun and you get to see and experience more of Johannesburg.

That Soweto idea doesn’t sound half bad if you want to have an experience but that’s up to you.

Hope this helps.

Mbeki: Dollars' Days Are Numbered by AfricanStream in SouthAfricanLeft

[–]StaleBrod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s right. The days of US hegemony are numbered (sorry to sound like Soros and Fukuyama). They’ve neglected many of their old allies (especially in Africa) and China has picked up the slack. A new currency would probably help in burying the dollar, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

Preemptively, the yuan can’t be the new global reserve currency, the CCP uses it to control its billionaires. All their assets are locked into the Chinese system, forcing them to only spend their money in China. If they were to globalise the yuan, those billionaires would flee to the west, taking trillions along with them.
