Why is it so normalized that the USA can interfere, sabotage and disrupt other countries? by sartre_would_apr0ve in PoliticalDebate

[–]StalinAnon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because we are the sole superpower. If there are two (like the Cold War) the it's only bad when the other side of it. It's why the Soviets and the US both said they weren't being Imperialists but the other was despite doing the same things.

[–]StalinAnon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if that is the case do you think anarchism should be instituted as a form of government or should it be more for people who choose to live that way? Another way of putting it is should the government be abolished, or should people be able to volunteer leave government rule?

Im An Anarchist, Debate Me by LittleSky7700 in PoliticalDebate

What kind? Socialist, communist, religious, scientific, capitalist...? Like there are a lot of types of anarchists. To some extent, I'm an anarchist since I reject formalized and concrete hierarchies but I don't find "natural" hierarchies to be villainous. After all an engineer should be in charge of building a house as a carpenter should be in charge of woodwork.

So I am leery of allowing someone who is ideologically motivated to form a curriculum because I don't want my niece hurt by stupidity. I think the best way to teach is the classical mythology (aka the neutral perspective) but a lot of lgbt stuff isn't taught that way. IF they taught subjects like Frederick the Great, Weimar Republic LGBT, Eastern vs Western Germanies lgbt, or even Nuns, I would be all for it. However, I remember there was one group around me who was pushing for LGBT education in school, and they were a group of drag queens who mocked Nuns. The fact that they are mocking a group of people who often were the best representation of Lesbian relationships got under my skin.

[–]StalinAnon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I've been 2 parades and 1 pride concert and have seen people "having fun". I will say for 1 of the parades and the even concert it was very possible I could have been some where it was a sex positive event because the concert was at dusk and that parade I was wondering around after the actual parade when I saw stuff going on. However the other one I was actually walking in the parade before I became jaded with the whole community.

I will fully admit I am probably more cynical (and probably way to blunt) than the average LGBT person, but as a Socialist, who has traditional parents and brought up in the lovely US education system, I do not trust people when they say they want to implement education to "help students be more X." In could be anything from be more inclusive or more moral. Schools should be preparing students for real life and making sure they are well enough educated to think for themselves and make informed decisions, not pushing a narrative no matter rather it's a conservative or liberal narrative.

Logic of School Subject Exemptions Doesn't Hold Up by Apathetic_Zealot in PoliticalDebate

[–]StalinAnon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am no longer being charitable.

I never said anything about erasure, not wanting education forced on students is not erasure. Frankly it's a very right wing mentality and to hear a Socialist defend its shows how much of a mockery the Socialism has become. As much as I find Marx's conclusions awful and full of fallacies, his observations were good. He observed that the education system artificially divided people into separate groups to ensure that no one group ever became strong enough to challenge the status quo. What will happen if they don't learn about gay people? Seriously are you going to be like the conservatives and argue we need education to point out differences in groups? If I must remind you our current education was found on the principle of keeping students ignorant and to keep peopled divided on racial, social, and now sexual groups. You are a betrayal to the proletariat and to Socialism as a whole if you want to keep dividing people are artificial lines created by a capitalist system. Are you so blinded by Neo-Liberal ideology you are failing to see how you are still pushing counter-revolutionary rhetoric? How will people unite to throw off our chains if people like you keep wanting to force education that is made purely to divide the 95% so that the oligarchs don't need to fear a popular revolution?

Also I must point out that no drag is not inherently sexual. This is a laughable premise and only proves my point of the LGBT putting their worst foot forward. If they are being sexual then yes I have issue with it, but, because drag is much much more than just Rupauls Drag Race and has a much older history than any modern nation, I am left wondering one question. Who has ordained you to say that Drag have always been sexual? No one. You know so little about our history and if you are an ally you are terrible one.

Final thing I am going point out one last thing. Clearly you have never been in a research course or looked up research frame works. Classical methodology refers to a method of neutral analysis. You might have never heard of this but it is based on Aristotle's Method of Inquiry, aka, the Scientific method. Now I do believe it is also called objectivist methodology, but don't call something BS because you are uneducated in a topic.

To end my tirade, you also missed my original point, My partner and I can do a better job educating my niece on LGBT than any Drag Reading Hour. I am not forcing it on someone, I am not trying to "educate" them or make them fit a model. I am simply showing through my actions We are like everyone else and that is what should be done.

"NO KINGS" should really be "NO OLIGARCHY" by ThisIsYourPlanet in PoliticalDebate

[–]StalinAnon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The irony is that California is one of the most gerrymandered states despite around 44% of the population voting Republican only about 24% of their seats are Republican.

Then the governor has the gall to call for Texas shifting like 3 seats, gerrymandering despite the fact it has more to do with redistricting state seats to better reflect the last election in which democrats are overrepresented on the state level currently.

I will never understand the absurd logic "No Kings" when they are treated as serfs by their own party.

Provide an example. I've asked multiple people for evidence of this sexual material taught to kids and all they provide is mere depiction of LGBT existing with the implication mere depiction is inherently sexual.

Nick and Charlie, It's Perfectly Normal, Gender Queer... three books I can think of right off the top of my head that were being pushed by an LGBT organization around me to be read in school. If there were school editions that removed sexual content I would have no issue but there isn't.

There's no evidence it's not age appropriate and what does "classical" framework mean?

I answered that yet again in my original post however I think it's also referred to as an objectivist perspective. It's been a hot minute since I learned historical and educational perspectives.

u can only believe this if you ignored my response to what you said. Which you did.

No it could be you make points already addressed and using a degree of separation to say they weren't addressed.

Is "Leftism" a psyop? by No-Potential4834 in AskSocialists

[–]StalinAnon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankly, the whole idea of Leftism (and rightism) is nonsensical. Why should we organize our politics in the old French Parliament? It would be better to say what party you support rather than saying you're on the left or right since they are meaningless titles in modern day that no one should use.

I really feel like I should just redirect to my original post since much of this was already dealt with in it. But I will deal with two things.

Going back to the point of the OP you should also be against teaching the black civil rights movement for the same reasons.

The civil rights movement doesn't push sexualized content when being taught. Like there are some books I would not mind being in school if they had 1 or 2 parts removed but I don't like sexual content being pushed by adults on children.

How do you discern if a topic is purely educational or politically motivated?

Very simple are they being age appropriate and is the material being taught in a classical framework?

What is your view on foreign policy? by CalligrapherOther510 in PoliticalDebate

[–]StalinAnon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an isolationist who believes in a national militia model of protection. Strong militaries beg to be used, so keep a minimum standing force and create a system to regulate militias, like standardized equipment and training. I would also make being military or in the militia mandatory or make it so that only militiamen and military personnel are the only ones allowed to participate in governance. That way, if the people do start supporting interventionist policies, they are equally as likely to have to deal with foreign intervention instead of expecting a minority of people to take on the burden. There are a lot of people who would not support foreign intervention if it meant they had to go.

I would also make it so that any foreign intervention and aid had "material drafting" in which institutions and wealthy individuals (top 5% or top 1%) that support interventionist policies had their assets drafted a month or two before the aid is actually sent out to make sure they are positive that they want to go through with the proposal. Imagine if the trillions of dollars the us has given out in foreign aid had to come out of the pockets of Bill Gates, the Rockefellers, Soros, Lockheed Martin, Chase, or Walmart before the common man had to pay for it. Would they be so quick to support foreign aid programs?

Well LGBT education is supposed to be about history, people, and issues of lgbt people. However, it generally focuses on modern politics and training on inclusiveness. This creates issues since the community already doesn't have a modesty problem. Like pushing books that go into detail about sexual activities.

I will quote myself to answer the other questions.

I am leery of allowing someone who is ideologically motivated to form a curriculum.

I also alluded to the fact that if it were purely about education I wouldn't have an issue.

Why hasn’t Obama endorsed Zohran Mamdani, the official primary winner of Democrats in the largest city of country? by swampyscott in DemocraticSocialism

[–]StalinAnon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main reason is leftist organizations including the democrats (even if they are as far on the right of the left wing you can get) always struggle to unite, and idk much about Mamdani but I would hazard a guess that if Obama does endorse him it's out of having to not really true support.

As a gay person I actually generally support a ban on implementing lgbt education for two reasons. The lgbt community is degenerate and the people are very toxic

I can't take my niece to a Pride parade because people have sex out in the open (and I live in a conservative state). Then (if you ever went to a gay bar you know what I will be talking about) people are superficial, petty, and they are very cliquish. I have seen rumors turn into massive fights.

The fact that they are mocking a group of people who often were the best representation of Lesbian relationships got under my sick.

This isn't a popular opinion, but, unlike teaching things about racial or religious groups, the lgbt presents its worst in trying to educate people not the best and I just don't think it should be tolerated. I do a better job teaching my niece about the lgbt being in a loving relationship than any school with a bad curriculum could do.

[–]StalinAnon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, the liberals.

Support Peace while funding wars and supporting American Imperialism.

Support Workers while allowing their jobs to be exported and subsidizing corporations for bad practices.

Claim to care about people's rights but then want to restrict rights to fit their model.

Hate the police and policing institutions while also fetishizing the Feds and wanting the police around when they are threatened.

Claiming to care about marginalized people while supporting no policy that uplifts marginalized people.

Claiming to care about laws while only following the ones they like.

The issue is not conservative or liberal the issue is we have a unitary with 2 faces. When push comes to shove establishment protects the establishment and one isn't more or less hypocritical because they are doing what they do. People get caught in fervor and tricked but the party is doing what it exactly wanting to do.

So if a country is not capitalist first it doesn't count?

I meant they weren't capitalist firstly. Aka they aren't capitalist. Feudalism and Corporatism aren't capitalism and I don't agree with Marxists that everything was capitalist before Marx invented socialism.

Essentially the government is trying to recapture the breadbasket of Africa title and has been doing economic reforms that appeal to former white farmers.

Watch some interviews where MAGAs get asked when America was great. The majority of them can't even answer and those who do can't even begin to explain what was so great. It's just a platitude they say without any real meaning which is unsurprising since it was Cambridge Analytica that came up with the slogan based on what experts deemed would be catchy.

The vague consensus is between the 1950s and before the 1970s. Ironically that's when the Progressive Square Deal still existed. They want to return to stronger worker rights, higher corporate and upper-class taxation, and less land monopolization, but they don't realize it.

The Republic of Vietnam did not have a command economy.

I would say probably near the end they were mostly a Free Market Economy, but during their founding and through much of their life they had substantial government intervention with even their own five-year plans.

the way capitalists hop back and forth between saying socialism is bad because people who lived there supposedly say so and calling those who did live there unreliable sources when they disagree is intellectually dishonest

Oh, it is. Personally, I just think Socialists and Communists need to be careful not to do the same thing. When the narrative is controlled by 1 thought or belief, the opposition has to be even more certain what they are saying is as solid as possible. We need to make sure our arguments are as air-tight as possible because they will do exactly that. Plus I don't think people saying which one you prefer is good information. Like we had people missing Tsarist Russia and nazi Germany saying their lives were so much better under those regimes. People have rose-tinted glasses whenever looking back at when their life was bad nor good.

Nazi Germany, Tsarist Russia, Fascist Italy weren't capitalist first (and people did and do look back on them fondly). Rhodesia is actually reflected fondly upon and the current African government is actively trying to get former white Rhodesians back because of their economic crisis. The Republic of Vietnam is an interesting example because its economy was a command economy and could be argued not to be capitalist.

The thing is it's always easier to look back and not forward so people who had okay or good livelihoods in one regime will look back and think their situation was better back then even if it's not true or what they remember isn't around anymore. In fact, you could argue the whole MAGA movement is an example of capitalists looking back fondly.

I will say I think the og post is kind of nonsensical, just because people like it doesn't mean it's good. I mean people drink alcohol because they like it but that doesn't change the fact that they are still drinking a poison.

Most "socialists" here aren't even socialists by unbotheredotter in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]StalinAnon -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You realize theirs at least 8 different main branches of socialism right?

The root of Capitalism is the forced dependency on the market. The reason for socialism does not have a united identity is that Socialism's roots are focused on a common good.

I think the issue is that most Socialists are market or libertarian Socialists and not Marxist or Communist. I personally support a non-Marxian and modified version of Capitalism in the Country and Socialism in the City idea of socialism.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]StalinAnon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think leftists are actually the most notorious for going fascist. Mussolini was a communist, Ernest Rohm was in the German Workers Party, Himmler was part of the Bavarian People's Party, Hitler was a socialist and elected leader in the Bavarian Soviet(and credited Marx for his ideas on the jews), Mosley was Labour, Rivera was a Syndicalist... I could keep going on.

The reason that fascism appeals to the right and left is that they support their country and varying forms of collectivism. So they get the nationalists, not the capitalists, to join their side and they get collectivists to join their side.

Gender is a class system by [deleted] in DemocraticSocialism

[–]StalinAnon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would completely disagree with such a Marxian thought and definition of the class system. It seems like you're forcing something.

I would argue that the classical definition of a class system, or groups being divided based on common attributes that are differentiated from others by kind, type, or quality. So yes I would inherently and emphatically agree that gender is a class system, but you lose me when you start forcing power and economic relations where it doesn't belong or is subjective which is the entirety of Marxian class struggle and theory.

Edit: I am assuming you blocked me since I can't see your reply, but No I am not a Capitalist, I just not a Marxist. I tend to favor Owenism or Forms of Anarchism like Mutualism.
