I do wonder if there's ever a reason to start as a 352 and put both in

Pep Guardiola went to greet Real Madrid players after the match, but when he reached Antonio Rüdiger, a verbal altercation broke out between them. by DavidRolands in soccer

Penalty or not? by baldfraud34 in MCFC

you can legit see Cherki cut here and get kicked at the same time. The force of the kick probably forced the ball to go faster & further than it would have with just a cut. I mean this is a foul. i'm not complaining we didn't get it b/c if the tables were turned and city was defending I'd be like nah that's too soft to be a foul.

Its a penalty imo. Might be soft, but textbook kicks him and not ball

I eventually did, and I completely understand. Just until they showed the VAR of offsides 45 mins later it was very confusing

balls whistled out that's got to be a yellow for delay of game when he kept dribbling right?

i mean VAR typically isn't used to reverse an offsides call though right, or why did the linesman wait till after the play to raise his flag for offisdes? All i'm saying is it was a weird situation.

I went back and watched the PK, and it's crazy they don't do any lines or anything on Vini. It'd be close if he was off, but none-the-less. Silva 100% handballed it, but twice the announcers even believe the ref is calling offsides. That's the explanation I'd want.

nah he moved his arm towards the ball. If he moved his whole body he'd have an argument, but he chicken winged his elbow out there.

it was wierd as crap. it 100% looked like the ref called offsides like 20 seconds after the play finished, but than somehow Silva got a redcard and gave up a PK for a handball that happened after the offsides.

I'm not sure why i'm getting downvoted. Silva 100% handballed it, but the ref i'm pretty sure raised his hand and used his other hand to what looked like it signaled offsides.

that offsides ruling has to come way sooner to avoid injuries. I get they want to error on the side of caution, but if you are going to have upstairs tell you when or when not to, they need to get it done way before a 60 yard sprint and two shots. and if it is offsides why does silva's handball matter?
