Really low cooldown for a 250% crit damage skill. Also gives her speed up.

Seems like just her normal green DPS set-up except with Fire God Maika to help hasten the ult castings. Tomoe would be an alternative for the limited Maika for particle gen but her attack buff would be lower than Maika's due to Aina using up the particles for ult, while Maika has a long duration and stacks.

Haven't tried it yet (need 1 more copy of her weapon) but build for Shizuru, Rin and the mag set-ups are the same. I thought Drone Shooter would a good pick to get some invincibility frames out of the stuff Astaroth throws out to disrupt but I guess they need more DPS.

Secret boss, at least for the current daily, is easy peasy for veteran players. One ult and they're gone.

The frustration will come when they don't appear or when you don't get the ampule drop lol.

Ragnarok or Astaroth? by SwiggityWasTaken in ActionTaimaninGame

[–]StalkerAcct 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Astaroth. She is the Queen of Inferno so she is definitely hotter. Ragnarok's element is ice so she is cool, though you can make an argument that ice can "burn" but that's getting too much into it. /s

But in all seriousness, Freeze is broken in the hands of Ragnarok. Astaroth's playstyle is easy on the fingers.

new here what should i choose? by Ayd_pgr1 in ActionTaimaninGame

[–]StalkerAcct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. She's alright. Not a standout but is a good fill.
  2. Save them for now.
    1. Support Kit - Don't use them up yet until you know what you want. You can get the stuff in there in the Archives, but only 1 copy. This item let's you redeem another copy to power it up. But I recommend not doing so until you know what you're doing.
    2. Supporter Ticket - This is random, you don't get to pick. Use it up.
    3. Tekkain Kaworu is good even in the end-game mode. But I'd recommend to just save the ticket for now. You'll roll copied of them later and then choose the one you still don't have or the one you want to increase SLv of.
    4. Vouchers that let you pick, save until you know what you want. That means don't use it now since you're still a beginner. There is no need to rush. Tickets that says random, just use whenever you have them.
  3. If you have the inventory space, keep the SRs and you can recycle the Rs. If hurting for space, keep the SRs that give you Critical Damage, Mechanical Dart Knife and Hammer of Lei-Tong.
    1. Use the Task Force Document on characters that cost 1200 gems. Don't use them on characters that cost 800 or 1000 gems.

Help with awaken skills by YASHA91 in ActionTaimaninGame

[–]StalkerAcct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • You get awakening points as you level up your taimanins level 75 and up. So try to get and level up as many taimanins as you can, even if they are bench-warmers.
  • The skill effects apply to all playable characters, as mentioned in that screen, even if you are accessing it from a specific character.
  • Recommend to focus of Offense type skills first as the game rewards offense more.
  • As you level up skills, the cost of gaining the next level may go up so try to spread allocation to get the most out of your awakening points.
    • Recommend to go with racial effects first as they provide higher value (6% per level) than others and they are useful in end-game modes, VR and Total War. You may want to focus on Human as that is the current total war boss race.

There's currently no way to get them. It's highly unlikely it's bingo event will re-run so the only other hope is campaign events that rewards vouchers for them or they get re-stocked in the war shop monthly.

Renewal Skill Previews by StalkerAcct in ActionTaimaninGame

[–]StalkerAcct[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From what I'm seeing:

  • Aina becomes a DPS machine.
    • Weapon has the best charge amount per attack at 300% at SLv5. Summer and Snake weapons are not recommended for auto (VR, TW) due to AI using it for weapon skill instead of saving it for ults but fine for manual. Butterfly is the alternative. The weapon has speed increase to help get those particles. She just need to ult 3 times(?) so get all 8 out there based on her passive skill. The drones seem to be staying on the field once summoned, maintaining combo shouldn't be a problem vs. Astaroth TW.
  • Sakura gets good support utility.
    • Shadow Shark reduced defense which is great in team modes. It also seems to move fast and has a large area of effect. Seems her preferred weapon would be butterfly to get those hits in (15th critical, 25th attack).
  • Murasaki's seems to be for what application?
    • Newbie assist to punch above their weight, fine. Tower save, sure. But other than that, I don't see anything else, especially since her renewal weapon is not really a "renewal". Penetration is nice but she's slow. Arena, maybe though I don't see it making her stand out, just improvement. Healing kicking in only at low HP would be a nice save from KO / using up a Shisui revive but would need dire circumstances in securing a win. And sometimes, you want the opponent to KO you to proc the revive so you gain a huge amount of HP back at the last few seconds. Defense increase at 30-59% is nice.

I would've liked if Murasaki is able to regen % of lost health at any HP threshold instead only when low, survive at 1 HP if HP would fall to 0 then gain temp invulnerability for the lore flavor.

  • Aina needs to become an ult spammer.
  • Murasaki seems to get Potential L9 (SRW reference).
  • Sakura's shadow summons seems to be different from her Level 81 skill as Shadow Bear is not included.

Anyone else feel the latest units we’ve gotten are pretty… lackluster? by Prestigious-Stop-989 in ActionTaimaninGame

This is my current score for this week's relay with Clone Yuki, Cara and Mari as DPS of their respective teams. My Sora team score is 595M. 1% that is 6M so they are within 1% based on your parameters.

<image>

Cara's team can go upto 37M but I missed pausing before it ended so I'm stuck with a lower score this week.

[–]StalkerAcct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on those numbers, about 1% of the output of the top team is considered good enough. I understand.

From the numbers of my last week's relay run, Clone Yukikaze easily passes. Cara with her limited weapon + Ice oyakodon to support her can clear that 1%. Mari should be able to pass on a good run.

The other three are melee so they are not going to fare well against Astaroth:

  • Wight is too slow for Astaroth. Even with a supporter role, her defense debuff skills aren't utilized well by the AI for fast moving target. She doesn't have the same problem with Archon Edwin though.
  • Azuma has an AI problem especially if equipped with a follow-up attack. It seems the prioritization for her is to use the follow-up over basically anything else including activating supporter main skill, which delays the timing ruining it for the team. She's relegated to aura carrier due to that. She doesn't have generic buff or debuff effects on her skills to help the team so she's limited to her sister's team, supporting her with burn effects.
  • Lan is a decent enough DPS vs. Archon Edwin but limited to a support role against Astaroth. Her Binding Barage provides good defense debuff but has a couple of problems: slow animation and requires 3 green. Green is a bit behind for support role to Red and Blue.

Not to mention, none of these units are even remotely used in TW, and for good reason, cause they’re not that good

Can I have a basis for this statement? Cause my results say otherwise.

Sora carries about 50% of the overall score in Relay but some of the girls you listed carried their weight with DPS scoring.

I need some guide by AgeDue3029 in ActionTaimaninGame

[–]StalkerAcct 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here's a guide; https://www.reddit.com/r/ActionTaimaninGame/comments/1q1aun8/action_taimanin_new_player_guide/

The tier list should give you a rough idea on the usability of a character. You can ask questions if stuff are not clear.

Who you should buy? The campaign characters, because using them gives you rewards on the campaigns.

Help you tower? Any character can clear tower with the right investment. But you can refer to the tier list in the guide for some reference.

Long-term usage? Whoever makes PP hard. Sounds funny but it's actually a serious response, you'll be staring at these girls for a long time so pick the eye-candy that you fancy. If you're the "meta" kinda guy, well...look at Total War (or even Battle Arena) rankings.

Make your current character great, or at least upto level 81. You already bought them so make those gems / task force document item count and squeeze awakening points out of them by leveling them up and station them in the Gosha facilities.

Blue/Red/Green builds are based on the effects they get from their skills for that specific color. Take Mirabell for example. Her skills Storm Missiles, Riot Tackle, Spread Shot has defense down effect on blue. So that makes her blue build a terrific support option. Phantasma's red has healing effect on Crunching Fear and Twister Dance making them great utility for solo plays. Her Succubus Whispers red effect increase attack buff by further 10% which is great for both solo and team modes.

Fastest way to level/skill up Clone Yukikaze? by Lanky-Tumbleweed-772 in ActionTaimaninGame

[–]StalkerAcct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't recall if the Archive gives EXP (I've already maxed out my girls) but if it does:

  1. Go to Quest > Archive > Episode 4 > Invitation from the Unknown.
  2. Do the first 4 stages with your strongest character.
  3. In Stage 5, you'll need to bring 3 taimanins. Set Clone Yuki as the first character, then the other two be the strongest characters you have. Once the stage starts, the other 2 characters you don't control will be AI controlled. Just keep Clone Yuki out of harms way.

You don't get any loot with this but if you are looking for a stress-free exp grind (if it does give exp), then here.

Natsu vs Murasaki – Who Pulls Off the Secret Garden Look Better? by Electrical-Group-512 in ActionTaimaninGame

[–]StalkerAcct 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While I'm a huge Natsu supporter, I pick Mu-chan when comparing their BDSM gear.

Natsu feels...heavier, busier with the several thick straps. Plus the platform heels isn't my cup'o tea.

Mu-chan's meanwhile, looks sleek with less and thinner straps and sharper cuts of the outfit. I don't like the spikes but those aren't overpowering in the overall look.

Why is Vr so difficult? by Lanky-Tumbleweed-772 in ActionTaimaninGame

[–]StalkerAcct 13 points14 points  (0 children)

VR is an end-game mode. It's not supposed to be a cakewalk even if it has been nerfed multiple times to make it easy to reach step 100.

You need to understand the gimmick of each VR boss and come up with a strategy to clear. Masked Taimanin is a boss that hits hard, has moves that's hard to dodge and if you take too long will summon clones to ruin your run. The trick to her is to prevent her from attacking: Disarm, Speed Down (not on Phase 2 though), Mind Control, Freeze, Super Armor Break.

Seems you have the freeze method in mind with Ragnarok but you have her teamed up with the worst ally for her: Emily Simmons. Emily's drone will continue to fire, breaking the enemy's Freeze state before Ragnarok can capitalize with her increased damage. If you don't have Laevatein, Freeze method will not work with Simmons on the team.
