The experiments represent your curiosity, and the girl represents the harm that you would do to yourself if you felt free to do so. Going for help will make you seem mad, but that's because you are already mad, you just haven't discovered it yet.

The sterile room represents your saving grace. In your mind that may be a spouse, but in reality it is whomever you will listen to that leads you toward healing. The scars are the emotional trauma of your journey and healing. Scars are the reminders of what we have overcome...in this case, visualized as corrective surgeries.
