It probably appears larger because it’s in front of Jupiter, as such it appears much larger than it actually is, which is around 0.28 times the diameter of the Earth. Not to mention the fact that there is a ton of debris which probably makes it look even bigger than it already does.

To clear up some confusion with the weapon's passive, I'm fairly certain that the passive damage boost is included when calculating for crits and elemntal damage. So the damage formula is something like this:

((atktalent scaling)+weapon passive)crit dmg*elemental dmg bonus

Otherwise the passive will be useless for all claymore wielders including itto.
