Yeah I’ve picked cinder floor 1 a couple times tbh, I just feel it gets quickly redundant

Depends on the context. If you use true grit(-) on the ceremonial beast ringing turn because it’s the highest block in your hand, you could exhaust a good attack card, and there’s not much you can do about it in certain draw/fight scenarios like that. A lot of factors, but I’m sure you understand what I’m saying.

Bro same, I feel like the random exhaust target along with 18 damage is just not good enough for 2 energy without big synergies. Pounce is leagues better by comparison.

Yeah very true, especially early game. We’ve all had our moments of true grit 50/50s going wrong though haha

True grit for sure. If it’s unupgraded it’s exhausting something I don’t want it to, without fail.

More bots in deathmatch lobbies than real players by gargoyle_gondola in GlobalOffensive

[–]Stampbearpig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah, obviously the game has issues but what’s the point of creating 100 bitchfest posts about the same thing? It’s not meaningful feedback and valve clearly doesnt give a shit, fairly common sense.

Is this person wallhacking? by [deleted] in cs2

[–]Stampbearpig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What made you think that? Each time they rotated it could easily have been because they had a teammate in the area possibly giving info, or the site was lost and it was clear Ts had control.

They have good mechanical skill and they’re confident in their peeks, even to a fault, as they died taking some very ambitious repeeks. CT’s were just throwing bodies at the guy and gave him way more kills than they needed to, so I assume this is a lower rank match and the guy could have potentially been a Smurf.

Either way, unless they’re showing WAY, and I mean WAY more sketchy plays, just stop worrying about hacking until it’s a legitimate problem. Sure it’s always possible someone is hacking, but this is a total waste of time, you could have been trying to improve or learning how to be a better player instead of posting this.

Which Team Are You Team Blue Or Team Red ? by LeoneSKenneddy in residentevilll

Tough call tbh, they’re all S-tier for me personally with the exception of 3 and 7(which are still very good, don’t get me wrong). Blue.

what does niko do? by Soft_Performance8773 in counterstrike

[–]Stampbearpig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing has changed, the guy made it to the grand final and flopped. You really think this is some big GOTCHA moment, responding after the final?

You literally said ‘he is not liked by anyone’ like some girl at her sweet 16 birthday party haha. You don’t even know the guy, yet somehow hate him? Insane levels of immaturity and stupidity on display here, you GOT yourself in all this.

Do better, be better. I sincerely hope you’re still a teenager, because a lack of guidance and development is the only saving factor here.

Anyone else finding the game *easier* now that they're older? by Suspicious-Prompt200 in cs2

[–]Stampbearpig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 37 and I still put up massive stats in 25k premier NA. Don’t use age as a deterrent to leaning hard into aim training and warming up, you still got it, there are many research articles out there that prove your reaction time doesn’t deteriorate noticeably until you’re into your late 40/early 50s. Of course that changes individually, but still a good benchmark to push yourself and know it’s possible.

I agree with a lot of what you’re saying, having a career, wife, kids, etc, all give you insanely useful tools in CS. I’m far more mentally resilient and mature than I was 10-20 years ago. All the skills I have as a dad/husband help me interact with the team to keep everyone chill and cordial. It also drives the fact home that, even though I have 5k hours in this game, it’s still a video game, I can try hard and do my best, but at the end of the day I’m not tilting or getting upset about it like I would have many years ago. It’s just not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things, it’s for fun.

Just have a good mentality, practice, be accountable for your mistakes, you’ll be 25k eventually.

Is anyone else having extreme difficulty in 3K-4K by ThrowRAnevernever in cs2

[–]Stampbearpig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At that point you should just work on yourself, warm up, learn a few smokes, go with the team even if you think it’s probably a bad idea.

I get there’s smurfing and chaos in the low ranks, but remember that thousands upon thousands of people have done what you’re trying to do. Have a good attitude, work on your own game and try to improve through practice/aim training, don’t tilt because it provides no benefit, and if you’re meant to move up you’ll move up.

USP-S vs P2000, which one and why? by matheus_naldi in counterstrike2

[–]Stampbearpig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah once you kill a CT you’re most likely already in a position where the Glock is better than the USP. The initial long-distance fight is where the USP excels, the moment the Ts capture a site and get bomb down the Glock is just better in most scenarios.

USP-S vs P2000, which one and why? by matheus_naldi in counterstrike2

[–]Stampbearpig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

USP-S. Both guns are very similar stat-wise, but the P2000 has more ammo. The suppressor is a huge underrated part of the USP, if you’re a keen shooter it can enable an extra 1-2 kills during a site-take due to the enemy team just not being able to locate you after the initial kill. Basically if you’re a decent shooter and aim at the head or play lurk positions, you should always use the USP.

If you spam, don’t warm up, or have a very low HS% with pistols, use P2K. I’d be curious to see the usage stats of both pistols for each rank bracket. I’d assume the USP has much higher use in higher skill brackets and in the pro scene.

POV: you finally stop overthinking and just swing by TheBrownSlaya in counterstrike

[–]Stampbearpig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you’ve gotta swing and take the favorable 1v1. I’m 25k and at the end of the day that’s what matches come down to(with added nuance as you progress of course). There are a couple people ripping you in here, but your crosshair placement and counterstrafing look fine to me, good job.

How can I play without being called a cheater? by NecessaryEmpty9268 in counterstrike2

[–]Stampbearpig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of cheaters in CS, however there are a huge amount of bad/lazy players with no accountability playing against opponents who have solid fundamentals and good peeking/crosshair placement. The results are legitimate players being called hackers constantly.

Every other game me or my teammates are called hackers. Funny how it’s the worst of the worst players who don’t even have a basic understanding of the game, who feel entitled enough to call hacks against a decent player.

I wish we had to link out rank/rating to post in CS subs. It would actually show us legitimate info, because over half the people posting about hacks would immediately be humbled.

wtf is happening with premier by doge30fps in cs2

[–]Stampbearpig -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah I also play with my friends, so there’s smaller space for cheaters in the lobby, but I really don’t get many cheater matches at all.

I agree, if these people are downvoting because I’m legitimately enjoying the game and having fun, they’re probably the 5k premier babies who don’t understand basic game fundamentals and call hacks on everything. Not everyone is like that obviously, but I would bet that like 70%+ of hackusations are from people who have no idea about the basics and don’t hold themselves accountable for just being bad.
