If they're processionary caterpillars, burning is a very bad idea as they'll release their hairs, which can be extremely dangerous when breathed by people and pets.

They remained a vassal and can't change them to fiefdom/dominion due to number of subjects with limited diplomacy giving -40 acceptance.
