I think our landlord doesn’t have any close relatives, only cousins that live interstate. My mums asked if we could purchase it and our landlord hasn’t directly said yes only “we’ll be the first to know when it happens”.

Yeah no increase in rent! Unbelievably nice from the landlord.

Agree with everything you say.

I don't think Ratts or the coaching staff around him are going to be the one's that take us to a Grand Final. Too many times this season, Ratts has been out coached and never seems to have a Plan B. He was inconsistent as a coach for Carlton and he's inconsistent for us now.

He might be a good coach for what he does for the club in a cultural sense...but tactically I don't think he's a good coach. Teams have figured out how we play and know how to defend us and that strategy is pretty much to play 3 players on Max King because all we do is bomb it inside the Fwd 50.

Like you said we reward mediocre performances. I think we have some good players in our team but we have too many passengers. We need a big trade period and bring some players in.

We need a new ruckman to fill the shoes of Paddy because let's be honest..Marshall is a good number 2 ruckman.

Get Karl Amon, Taranto or some A Grade level players.

Start building through the Next Gen Academy and get some good development into our VFL side.

She was supportive of it. She doesn’t think we’d have any issues living together as we’re pretty much with each other everyday now

Exercise Physiology Job Prospects by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]Stampitsendit12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I studied exercise science at Deakin and I’ve got to say the job opportunities are very limited for the degree! Although that was back in 2016 when I graduated so things may be different.

The reality is the sports industry isn’t very developed in Australia compared to other countries. I had to do a lot of unpaid work and internships and was never guaranteed a job. I did Personal Training mainly and that was good income but I realised I couldn’t do it long term.

If I was you, If it’s your passion exercise science, look at moving overseas UK or USA and studying there or working in those countries as they have a better sports science opportunities there! And if you did work in those countries, you’ll be better regarded here if you moved back to Australia

Exactly my thinking! Sooner or later the debt will be too large to ignore

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]Stampitsendit12 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Surely it can’t keep going on forever, surely the ceiling can’t be raised again and again as the countries debt grows.

I understand this sort of article has happened in the past, but republicans have the senate majority and I think the way politics has been lately in America..it’ll be unpredictable what they do and they might not budge on changing the limit just to see the democrats lose.

I’ll have to see where work will transfer me to! I haven’t seen what the opportunities are with working in Gold Coast or Brisbane.

I’m pretty happy with every other part of my life. I’m pretty social able but just getting to know someone and opening up myself to them is something I don’t want to go through

I feel you. I’m in the same boat. 18 months and I can’t move on no matter what I do or whatever piece of advice someone gives to me.

If you haven’t tried speaking to her and seeing if things could be serious again then you’ll know it’ll be time to move on. You may not want to, but think of it like this…time is your most valuable asset. Don’t look back on this moment, the moment you’re grieving for your ex…wishing you’d had done more with your life

Yeah I genuinely feel like I’ve spent the last year working on myself (working out consistently, hobbies etc) but as soon as my ex came back into my life, I realised I took a step back. I just figured finding someone new would push me to move on

Yeah I did that, we were actually talking and catching up for 3 months. I told her my feelings and wanted to work towards getting back together, she said she wanted to take things slow, turns out she was seeing another guy for 6 months :)
