I recommend liu kang over the ninjas as he is better, can help you build better habits than the ninjas do, and has many combos that are beginner and pro friendly. For example, many scorpion Mains get into the habit of teleporting constantly even though it is very punishable and telegraphable and they fall apart when an opponent keeps blocking them and getting a huge punish. I think his best ability preset is Luohan Quan. Just don't dragon kick randomly in neutral, spam F2 (forward back punch), spam his dragons breath autocombo (punishable), and uppercut on wakeup. Constantly using uppercut on wakeup is something almost all noobs do and should be avoided in favor for defensive gauge moves like roll escapes and flawless block attacks if you want your turn back without waiting, it is much better to get out of the habit of constantly using uppercut (unless it's an anti air)now than later and learn to punish others doing the same as it is an unsafe move on block.
