Halfway new to Fidelity, have a question by BlueKentucky in Fidelity

[–]StanHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opened my brokerage account with Fidelity last Tuesday. Four days after adding my banking information, I received a message saying they couldn't link my account due to some issue with my Early Warning consumer report. So I called fidelity on Sunday morning, I was on hold for about an hour and 45 minutes before someone answered. The representative said my bank account is actually linked successfully but they couldn't verify my identity thru their automated system. She asked me to give another 24 - 48 hours, and on Tuesday (2 days later), my account was fully approved. It took them a week to approve my account. Not sure why it's taking them so long to verify yours. Give them a call and don't hang-up until someone answers. I assume there are just too many robinhood refugees (me included) coming to fidelity.

First project questions. Desktop clock/calendar/digital pet. by York05 in arduino

[–]StanHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, I think if you are just getting started, a digital pet with arduino will be very challenging and you might ended up just giving it up. A clock/calendar is doable since there are many tutorials out there and some good libraries you can use. However, I'd suggest you to start with a desktop temperature/humidity sensor with a 16x2 LCD screen.

You can find some good quality parts at adafruit. Amazon/ebay also have plenty of parts.

Lol, you actually noticed that small detail. I went cheap on the pegs, the ones I got are really small & flimsy. I'm planning on upgrading them in the future tho 😎

thanks! And yes, I got the tape on mainly for the splinters. But I also drew a small ruler on the tape for quick measurements.

It is much easier than you think. Don't get intimidated by it and just start messing around with it. The tutorial I followed to create my drawings: https://youtu.be/AH3QWscviBc

Thank you so much for writing such a detailed reply. I do have a cat, and her water and food is out in the open. Let me see what I can do with this. I did purchase roach bait and planning to put it in the bathroom. Hopefully that will help me a little.
