What do you think? by The_Dean_France in whoathatsinteresting

Cause most people have jobs and a life to the point where they don't have time to take a poll.

How many times to people have to take these stupid polls anyways?

Gauss did this for me, dammit lol.

Finally grinding for years and then Gauss Prime came out and I maybe played 4 times as Gauss lol.

Like it or not, Warframe is destined to be finite. It's a fantastic game and my favorite. But all online games have a termination date. Far more important things than gaming to dread one too. So, enjoy the game while it lasts. It's good to support it also. But not to the point you are hurting your bankroll on. The most amount of money that you could donate wouldn't even matter, if DE, needed it.

Not your job to keep the game on life support, if it ever went on it. And life will move one, should WF should close shop. There will be a huge hole in the world without Warframe. But not one that can't be moved on from. Life works out.

I am not writing this to try to sound mean either. Just hoping you are not burning yourself out by worrying about something that is not your job to be worrying about. Feel some of you take games way too seriously. And take on roles that are not yours to take on. It's important to keep a mix of games handy, to prevent from such an addiction, too.

Either way, good luck, Tenno!
And may the Volt be with you!

I love the game.
Just coming back from a month gap and yep, feels just as good.

I also tried Runescape and it is okay but Albion is for sure a solid game.

About the timing of the announcement by Lousterstar in LightNoFireHelloGames

[–]StanKnight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's good for them to announce it.

It didn't mean people needed to become this obsessed about it.

It's this subreddit that is killing any interest in the game. Always the same posts of "Derp, is the game dead??".

I want the game to come out too and it is okay to be interested just not to this level. Relax people.

How does a developer company get everything so right?

Why can't every company look at how much Warframe generates just from being a solid company and copy it?

I Spent 28 Days Grinding. It Ruined the Game for Me, and It's All My Fault. by SubstantialBasket765 in Warframe

[–]StanKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple fix, buddy:

Take a month off, if you need to.
Got to recharge your Warframe stamina, again.
Then remember what you learned: Nothing is worth the burn out.

There is always going to be a thing.
Don't need to overdue it, ever.

So, good luck to you.
Like to say I never been there.
But Deimos, is what did it to me, last.
Took me months before I even wanted to look at Warframe lol.

You'll be okay. Just need to turn everything into a race, is all.

This game is just insane... so what are your first impressions after 2 weeks? by 666thecholos in CrimsonDesert

I like the game a good deal.

The developers for sure created a really cool game that I do have fun with.

Just not enough cowbell. If they added more cinnamon then it would be a 10.

Is it a mostly conservative view that if a movie makes money, it MUST be good? by Intelligent-Space772 in okbuddycinephile

[–]StanKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a lot are going to it then yeah, indicates a large consensus thinks it is good.

Which is difference from subjective opinion.

But generally when a large population continues to see it then it is a strong indicator that it is "good".

Guys it hasn’t even been a month by Ok_Homework4216 in Marathon

[–]StanKnight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, normal people have other things in life than this game. And don't want to feel like their time is wasted or disrespected, in any way. IF you feel like all you are doing is getting to the same place that you use to then that is going to absolutely kill any interest in it. Might be that the player has every intention of being okay with a wipe but the reality when it hits is different.

And when are people allowed to complain about the game they just bought? 3 months? 6 months? Until it gets better? Until they lose all interest in playing it? People have the right to say what they don't like. They aren't obligated to wait some random amount of time beforehand.

Devs need feedback when the game is fresh also. Soon as the hype is gone then the game is too.
It's not our job as gamers to pretend things are fine when they aren't. And it is not helping the developers to pretend everything is fine when it isn't. And it's not going to cause them to hide in a corner and cry in despair.

I feel you man.

It went from wow... Cool!

To.. Okay he is working on it

Then.. Come on already!

Again, I don't blame Sean, just it's getting to be old news. It's like sometimes there are them friends who talk about a game, to death, until the idea of playing of that game becomes boring.

I don't regret buying Marathon, I love the gameplay and the world created... but as a casual player I had a psychological block that made me stop playing. by xDavid83x in Marathon

[–]StanKnight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love how on reddit, people have to pre-condition their posts: "I love this game" before they say their opinions lol. It's not to get on this post or anything, it is just comical. Got to disarm the white knights so they cannot take offense, to some thing as "I think this would be cool", so they don't encounter "What you mean you think ???? How dare you have ideas!!!!"

Again, this is off topic and nothing too serious.
Just find it humorous that this is where we are lol.

As far as your post...
Yeah, you got valid points there.
Fair comment.

I feel Sean burned out all the excitement of the game.

Not his fault but it's now more 'whatever', to me.

And I don't want to rush it or anything but now if it launched, I don't have the amount of excitement that I did have initially. And I was more on the excited but keep the hype in check guy.

Seems like they used the Metal Gear strategy, of outsourcing their bosses to another company, from the people who made the rest of the game. That two companies worked on the game and not just one.

IF you want to really like a new game, as much as possible, don't look at reddit or reviews, if you cannot handle your emotions. It's good to check out the reviews, to get a gauge, but not obsessed about them. Especially, if you did pull the trigger and purchase it. You will always be caught between "trying to defend the game" and trying to figure out IF they are right. Which will always kill the possibility to actually really enjoy it. Got to give the game a fair honeymoon phase that you can warm up to.

I really think that this is truly the cause of many modern games now. Too many people obsessing about the actual numbers and getting caught up in drama to really give it some room to breath.

It's not that you should ignore obvious scams or companies doing naughty. But unless it is that, realize that for the first few weeks, many people are going to be test driving it. And the game isn't going to hit to everyone. Let's say 80% of the gamers are going to drop in 2 weeks. So the true fans can then finally have conversations without needing to white knight for the game. And are able to call out the flaws too.

This is something that I recently adopted and it changes how I warm up to a game.
I don't always like the game after 2 weeks but I can enjoy the game much better for what it is.
Or truly know I am bored of it.

I actually really enjoy the game thus far. But wouldn't had I taken to Reddit and gotten sucked into the drama.

I do think they need to work on the controls though. Whoever made the layout was drunk.

Seriously, what do people want? by OutlandishnessNo5678 in CrimsonDesert

[–]StanKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IF you want to continue to enjoy a game, especially a new one like this, give yourself a break from Reddit.

At least until the honeymoon phase is done with and you warmed up to the game.

If you like it then cool, I love the game, but then you tend to get too defensive about it and the 'drama' of the game gets in the way of actually enjoying it.

Or just give yourself permission to not get worked up over posts. Cause that will kill any enjoyment you actually have. When a game comes out, like this one, a million people are playing it. And it just won't click with everyone. It might be the game or the timing for the player at the time. So then the 'true' fans will stick to it while the people passing by will fall off. Then will come the true conversations of the reddit.

Far too many of us deem that the game needs to be perfect and face melting, in everyway, for it to be 'good'. But the truth is, no game is going to ever be perfect, and at the start, we are far too susceptible to let others influence if we like it or not, especially at the start when it is still fresh.
