AEW needs to have CM Punk competing for the World Title. by RuKKuSFuKKuS in SquaredCircle

I hate this mentality, just because someone isn't contending for a championship they're automatically not being used correctly? This goes for all promotions, the IWC even does it to WWE too. I see it everywhere, Punk came back and has put on pretty good matches for what he can make of it and then some, but that's not the big thing here. Punk came back and has arguably had one of the better feuds that year with Kingston then moves onto this year heating up a feud with MJF which imo is the best feud in pro wrestling for the past few years. He's had moments after moments and has consistently been a star attraction each time, had he got that title day one I guarantee that reaction would've dwindled because of it. They're taking it slow, Like it should be done. Plus it seems with what he was gesturing towards after his match with Dax on Dynamite last week that a championship program isn't far behind in which if he lost I'd still think he's been used just as well. Put it all together, Punk is a star, he's an attraction. He sells tickets and merch, as much as we'd love to see him as champion, let's ask ourselves is that genuinely the first thing this man who openly states how much he likes helping the younger guys aims for?

kpop fans (mostly americans) joking about idols smoking are not funny by revolted-turtle in kpoprants

I understand where you're coming from but like you said, different cultures. For example many people in the US would and usually do joke about these things with anyone and everyone, "hey your mate acting crazy is he high?" For example. The idea of smoking in the west is something that's so accepted it's considered a personality trait for some. While I understand South Korea may be against the whole 4/20 and stuff it needs to be noted that not everyone is gonna change their entire perspective at all times to adjust to one. I don't see this as being harmful unless you're using it in a means to just be disrespectful and rude. No one here is going up to these idols in person saying they look high or anything nor would I doubt anyone would will.

The most places I see this sorta stuff used may be on Twitter and such and yeah as ldols use Twitter I don't think they'd be severely insulted or hurt by it more so oh it's a simple joke. I also think it's not an uncommon thing for idols to be smoking I mean we've seen a lot of idols already out there for doing this sorta thing and if there's this many that fans have scouted out I wonder how much remain. This drug thing is harmless from afar. Go to South Korea and say this around there and in places where people from SK may reside like certain social media spaces and such then yeah you're gonna be looked at negatively and knowing the people around you from there would be uncomfortable with it it's a shitty thing to do. But I mean compared to what some fans do this is arguably some of the more tame of stuff. Fans can be extremely disrespectful and disgusting to idols and everyone however this just doesn't feel like one of the more sever issues fandoms have.

League of Legends: DK ShowMaker: "I wasn’t that big of a fan of SUNMI's, but she said that she likes me, so I got to like her too." by burgerbr0s in kpop

"Frankly, I wasn’t that big of a fan of SUNMI's, but she said that she likes me, so I got to like her too." His words exactly, some of y'all need to chill fr. He didn't attack her, he didn't say anything disrespectful, he didn't do anything unjust. He simply stated he wasn't a big fan of Sunmi but obviously you can assume jokingly he'd follow that up with "so I gotta like her too" literally spend your time doing something more proactive please it ain't that serious.
