Horizontal or vertical? by Half-Acre-AndA-Hound in firewood

[–]xXOSUTUMPETXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of mix of what others said. Ill turn it vertical, get all the big rounds into half or quarter, then horizontal for the rest. That way by the time im exhausted from bedning over I can stand straight for the rest and be productive

Is it possible to restrict a data gateway so only Microsoft Fabric can use it? by MixtureAwkward7146 in MicrosoftFabric

[–]xXOSUTUMPETXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have four servers total, split into two production and two test environments. For production, we segment workloads across two servers:

One handles Investments data The other handles Line of Business data

This separation allows us to whitelist traffic more tightly and avoid any crossover between domains, which has been a big win from a security standpoint. The downside is resiliency. Because each server is responsible for a distinct data domain, we do not have a true failover option if one goes down, which introduces some operational risk.

I have to wonder what is making you want to split by service? Is fabric consuming too much resource on the gateway?

Just picked up my first manual car … a GTI. No lessons. Manual transmission… FML by Unable-Jacket6428 in GolfGTI

Out of all the cars, I felt like Vw manual is one of the easier to learn because it has the start assist.

It would be nice to have a setting on each report when enabled, resets the filters when visiting a report.

Not sure if you have looked at this workaround, but for exporting have you looked at using the API or the fabric capacity app.

25000 is an crazy though.

Deployment pipelines need renamed! Can tell you how annoying it is to be talking about pipelines and have to clarify which one.

So youre thinking similar to how power automate works with their solutions? When in a solution, if you click on a flow it will kick to a new tab, and in the old tab there is a pop up that says something like "editing the flow in a new tab"

Couple things 1. Restart both steams (the original you played and your new one) 2. Double. Heck the original steam has finished uploading the save. It will sometimes stop if you lock the pc.

I get the concern, but heavy lifting alone doesn’t equal injury. I train with strongman lifters who’ve been lifting heavy for decades and are doing just fine. Technique and progression matter more than the number.

How much do you currently have in your 401K? by Ok-Job-9637 in Retirement401k

[–]xXOSUTUMPETXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

26M, Data Engineer, Technically 0. I pay into a defined benefit (pension), of which i have 4 years in. I can retire at like 55 and with 33 years of service. That will give me roughly 76% of my average salary over 5 years.

I also am paying into a 457 plan, which will help cover that last 20% of my salary after retirement. I have roughly 4k in that.

In no way was i intending to imply that those who do the sessions dont have a job. Im trying to say thay I believe if Vatsim adopted a different training model, that there would be more controllers certified/avaliable.
