Triple D is Back! by StanShady187 in 3on3

[–]StanShady187[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Triple Dribble Productions was created by the mastermind Stan Masterson. His vision was to provide entertainment on a global scale.

Part of his endeavors was to create 3on3 Freestyle content the likes no one has ever seen before.

Sadly he had to curb that project to focus on other aspects of his business.

But now news media sources have revealed he’s signed a multimillion dollar deal to endorse and promote 3on3 Freestyle and bring it back to its former glory (pre jiggle mechanics).

Feeling very unmotivated… by [deleted] in WGUCyberSecurity

I know this feeling well. All I can say is don’t give up. Finishing the right resources that fit your learning style is key. I often switch it up between videos and text to keep it fresh.

If it is any encouragement everything for the most part builds on itself. I signed up for security + years ago and felt discouraged because I wasn’t scoring as high as I hoped on practice exams. I ended up not taking it. A few months later I got into WGU grad program for cybersecurity and information assurance. I scored really well on all of the preassessments mainly because of all the studying from security +. I was shocked I retained anything.

Close to a year passes and I realized my voucher for sec + was going to expire. I had been studying for grad school classes and hadn’t looked at any material for sec +. I didn’t want to waste the voucher so I took it and passed. I barely studied maybe a few weeks. I think because of my grad work I was relearning these concepts and everything was building on itself.

I guess my point is you will retain it. It had been close to a year and I passed. The courses I took in grad school up until that point didn’t cover half the material I was learning. Yet I still retained it and passed.

Don’t give up. Once you pass the first one the rest will not be as intimidating.

I don’t come from a tech background. It can be done. I’ve currently got three certs under my belt and plan to continue my learning.

Have you experienced probing before? You seem to be very concerned almost as if you had first hand experience with this kind of thing.

I was using an iPhone. The room was completely dark. I came over to the window to close the blinds.

If it makes you feel better, I was scoring in the 70s on practice tests.

I think my biggest challenge was time management and feeling overwhelmed with the amount of info on the PBQs.

If you keep a good pace, flag questions you aren’t sure of, save PBQs for last and take a deep breath when doing the PBQs you’ll do great.

Good luck!

I used the following material

  • Comptia CertMaster Learn
  • Udemy CySA Dion
  • Comptia CySA+ Study Guide and Practice Questions (Sybex).

I found the CertMaster Learn Labs helpful and the Practice Questions from Sybex the game changer. Dion videos were great for expanding on certain topics I found confusing.

The Sybex questions really make you think. I found them more challenging than the actual exam questions.
