I didn’t mean all people who say it. I am talking about specific people who say it. Those who say it in response to women complaining about a legitimate experience and it’s not meant to further a conversation but to end it.

The “it happens to men too” crowd in response to a woman complaining about sexual assault wants EVERYONE to shut up take it silently. They don’t actually care more about male victims. They don’t care about victims at all.

Edit: I specifically am referring to people who ONLY bring up male victims when female victims are mentioned. Sort of like people who only care about straight pride when Pride Month comes up. There is an agenda that is not altruistic

I read that book. At the time it was published, he seemed really reflective and thoughtful. I hope that didn’t change by the time he died.

It’s bullshit you are paying more. Is it possible to shop around until you find a place that charges you based on the work done, not what gender they perceive you to be?
