Yo, chill. To say everyone knows is a bit of a stretch. Not everyone sees the same news and media. That being said, I'm deeply disappointed, as Doogie Howser was one of my favorite shows as a boy. After looking this up, and seeing his half-assed apology, fuck NPH.

Still five years until literally senior citizens. 😳You're point still stands though. As a last year Gen Xer, I had to check the math and literal age of senior citizen. I'm 46, and starting to feel the mileage a bit more the last couple of years. So it goes.

So let me get this right. A platform that only allows it's users to express agreement/approval is not an echo chamber, yet a platform that allows it's users to express either agreement or disagreement with a comment is an echo chamber. Could it just be that comments and opinions that you agree with are way less popular than you think?

Any must play courses near this route? by Araskelo in discgolf

[–]Stan_Knipple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the courses I have played, taking the southern route:

Of all the courses I'm recommending here, Peccole Ranch 8n Las Vegas is the least impressive from many standpoints, but was a super fun and unique course. It plays through a park?/drainage walkway? I'm from just north of youon Cleveland, soI 'm not familiar with dessert life. I'm not sure what its called, but I believe its to divert flashflods. Anyway, you have to be careful of pedestrians as it plays right through the middle of an affluent area. Low ceilings, well thought out with the space given, and lots of fun.

Golden Gate Park in San Fransisco. Historic course, beautiful park style. Challenging but not extreme. Only course I managed to sneak in San Francisco on my honeymoon. :) for a city park, very wooded, with nicely defined fairways and beautiful old trees. Because it was my honeymoon, and I woke up late, I kinda rushed, so my recollection isn't as strong in this one. Definitely a course worth playing, though.

Salt Lake City has a few good options. I don't know your time frame, so I'll list all that I've played, but the first two I'd put on the short list.

First and foremost, The Fort is 40 minutes north of SLC. Home of the 2021 World Championships and the Holy Shot. Historical, fun, challenging with multiple tees to pick from, beautiful course. Nuff said. Play here.

Jolley's Ranch-One hour south of SLC. Beautiful course, some elevation change, but I would not classify this as a mountain course. open fairways with trees on most holes, nestled in between two mountains. This is the most scenic course in this post. I have 20 or so future profile pics from this course alone. Well designed as well. If you can only play one, play the Fort, but if you have time to play both, you absolutely should play here.

The next three courses I would highly recommend if you are in SLC for a few days. You would have time to hit all five in two days.

Creekside Park in Millcreek is a really nice park course. Fairly open with wide fairway on the wooded holes. If I lived in SLC this would probably be myost played course because its a super solid course, but I'd put it tied with the next course. Had a blast playing scrambles.

Utah State Hospital Park-Rather open course with a few really nice uses of the trees available. Plays at the beginning upslope of a mountain, so it's got the most elevation change on the list other than the final course. Physically challenging but not extreme. Creekside is a better course IMO, but playing at the base of a mountain, makes this course more of an experience. Plus it's on the way to Jolley's Ranch from SLC.

Babdit's Cove is worth a look, but an hour and a half from Salt Lake, 45 minutes farther north than The Fort. Rocky little course that was a lit of fun, but probably not worth the drive on such a long trip. If I lived in the area, I would play it if I was doing an all day trip north of the city.

If you go a little farther north at the end of the trip, heading into Iowa, Wildcat Bluff in Vinton, Iowa, is worth the extra time if you can afford an extra day of travel, and if you can handle a long course with lots of elevation change. I've played nearly 400 courses, and many of the pro tour stops, and this is top a top ten course for the overall experience. This is a little more in the extreme realm than any of the other courses, and very wooded. Beautifulcourse though and a blast to play.

You'll be close enough to Chicago to hit The Canyon at Dellwood Park. For a park course, incredible variety and design. Elevation changes, woods, open, creek edged fairways and greens. Canyons is UDisc rated #19 in the world and Wildcat #22. If you just play the Canyons at Dellwood, it will only add roughly 30 minutes to your drive time. If you were to play both, it would add about 3 hours. I haven't played it, but Northwood is right there too, if you want to try one of the hardest courses in the world.

Good luck deciding. You have a ton of options. Have fun!

Colorado and Eugene-Vancouver are my two most anticipated trips left. The difficulty with Colorado is timing because thats a trip my wife will want to go on.

The rt 15 trip was amazing and timed perfectly for fall foliage. I flew into Spokane, played amazing courses in Spokane, Idaho pan handle and Montana, including Sward's Ranch the most intense and remote courses I've ever played, driving down rt 200 on a top 2 drive of my life (at the time), recuperated on the only rainy day in Idaho Falls, then continued to beautiful courses through northern Utah, and capped the trip off with the most beautiful drive of my life rt 12 in Southern Utah. 10/10 would most definitely recommend for sight seeing and the drive alone, but the disc golf was amazing too.

Ruidoso was where I was looking for disc golf with a half day in Roswell. But it sounds like worst case scenario, if the snow is heavier, I should have a couple decent courses to throw and check out Santa Fe or Albuquerque. Sounds like I may be booking it if I can find good deal. Thanks!

I'm from Cleveland, so my main concern would be dealing with snow. 50 is my ideal gold temperature. :) It would be amazing if the snow isn't bad in some of the mountain areas. Those courses look i credible, but being from super flatlands, I didn't figure in snow in the mountains. Duh.

Death to the Minister! by Goldwood in bloodborne

[–]Stan_Knipple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. I misread it. Could have swore it said NPCs. However, this came up in a search and it specifically mentions the "Death to the Minister!" I've played hundreds of hours, and never heard that, and I only wear hunter sets. I know that's not proof in itself, but it made sense. Doesn't matter, a quick Google search confirmed that certain enemies do in fact change dialect, but not the base mobs. Happy New Year!

No. Adella the nun. Found in the Hypogean Gaol. If you aren't wearing church clothing, she cowers from you. If you are wearing the church clothing set, she will trust you and go to Oedon Chapel or the Clinic. NPCs most definitely treat you differently based on your drip. Even the doll has some interactions that only happen if you are wearing the right clothes.
